It's out!

As the subject line states, Once Burned is now available! I’m thrilled to have it out in the wild and I hope you enjoy Vlad and Leila’s story. Note: Audiobook readers, there’s a glitch where, as of now, it’s not available on Audible.com or iTunes. My publisher is working to get that fixed asap.

Once Burned song playlist

I’ve mentioned before that I write to music. It helps keep me focused because it drowns out other noises in the house, plus I just like music . Below is the playlist that I listened to while writing Once Burned. Don’t read anything more into this than what it is: songs I enjoyed listening to. There’s no hidden meaning for the book in these songs. A few of these bands I found through reader recommendations, so thank you for that! If you find anything you like from this playlist, great. If you hate my taste in music, well, that’s why there are as many different music genres as there are fiction genres . None of these are brand new songs since I wrote the book almost a year ago, and you’ll see the occasional Really Old song in there, too.

Abandoning all dignity

As I approach my 39th birthday, there are days when I manifest a respectable amount of dignity. Some days I'm even professional without trying too hard. This is not one of those days. Here's why:

*throws dignity and professionalism aside, assumes annoying high-pitched voice with dramatically extended vowels*

Once Burned book trailer!

As the subject line not-so-subtly implies, I'm happy to release the book trailer for Once Burned, book one in the new Night Prince series. For this trailer, I again hired the fabulous people from Book Candy Studios and I think they did a wonderful job. Why do I have book trailers made for my novels? Well, mostly because I get a kick out of them :). Also, they're another way to communicate a story's content to readers, kind of like a back cover description set to visuals, video, and music. Also, after every signing I hear “I didn’t know you were in my city. I don’t sell anyone’s info and I only send out about 6 per newsletters per year so your inbox won’t be bombarded. Plus, I make sure my newsletters are centered around new releases, signings, appearances, and special discount information. For example, did you know that all my backlist ebooks have been reduced to $5.99, and Eternal Kiss of Darkness is only $1.99 for a limited time?
