New book 'The First Rose of Tralee" published by Poolbeg is out in summer 2019. It is the story of love affair between a servant girl and the master of the big house, set against the backdrop of Daniel O'Connell's 1800 Repeal of the Union between Ireland and Britain. It's the inspiration for the annual Rose of Tralee International Festival, held each August.

Patricia is an international author of 13 books, both fiction and non-fiction. When she was a child she dreamed of having a book for sale in a bookshop with her name on its cover. And like the best of dreams, it came to pass.

'The Interview' explores the relationship between Eileen Gray and Bruce Chatwin, and why this interview was not published. 'A Type of Beauty, the story of Kathleen N

“My favourite all time quote is from Eileen Gray, the subject of my new book The Interview. She believed, 'to create one must first question everything'. A concept that applies to writing as to life”
Eileen Gray

Marcel Proust
“The air of those rooms was saturated with the fine bouquet of a silence so nourishing, so succulent, that I never went into them without a sort of greedy anticipation, particularly on those first mornings, chilly still, of the Easter holidays, when I could taste it more fully because I had only just arrived in Combray[...]”

Italo Calvino
“A classic is a book that has never finished saying what it has to say.”
