Diana Paz writes books about magic, adventure, and romance, including her YA time-travel series, TIMESPELL. She was born in Costa Rica, grew up on Miami Beach, moved to Los Angeles in high school, and went to college in San Diego. Diana graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. An avid procrastinator, she often wishes she had the power to freeze time. She loves old movies, epic fantasy, all kinds of music, and heading to the beach with a good book. Preferably sipping a highly sweetened iced coffee.

That helps me reconnect with my characters and my story.

If I find myself *really* stuck, I write my characters into a ridiculous or impossible situation, and keep writing a scene that will never be used. Like, aliens landed and one of my characters is abducted. How does she react? What kind of world do they take her to? Of course, the scene isn't included in any book, but I still gain insight into who my character is, and often my brain will want to return to the actual story. Writing itself is the cure, for me.(less)

Connecting with readers and knowing that they are sharing my world, my thoughts, whether they love my books or not, it's amazing to have a link with people through my writing, and know they are experiencing something I created.(less)
