Curt's writing reflects 30+ years in police work. He's neither a pessimist nor optimist but a realist. One reviewer noted his stories turn out the light in the darkroom.

His latest story, Brand of Justice, lurks in a place between right and wrong; where youth and innocence clash with police and authority. This book was penned long before the call for Criminal Justice Reform was heard.

JusThis, his first story, highlights the fact that no one is perfect, not even our heroes in uniform.

Stood at the foot of my mountain but snow was waist deep. Have to wait on the climb as was expected. Did the next best thing with all the snow run-off and got in to afternoon whitewater rafting. Had one guy land in the drink and a lady got smoked by a huge wave and was dumped on the floor of the raft.

Bummer of a side not . . . Debra Brymer was killed the day after my rafting experiance. She was... Read more of this blog post »

Description: This tale lurks in a place between right and wrong; where youth and innocence clash with police and authority. After cops nail the wrong guy, they start dyin' 'accidentally', but no one is the wiser for it, except for one young man. He must prevail in an epic struggle to save innocence from the death penalty. All bets are off. This story is told as only a highly decorated former police officer and attendee of the FBI National Police Academy could tell it. Issues that ooze from the appalling side of human nature are confronted. As this saga unfolds one realizes, yes, it could happen.

Description: A former highly decorated police officer and graduate of the FBI National Academy wrote JusThis, a dark, bittersweet tale of a police chief who forgot his oath to serve and protect. Catastrophic events are unleashed on innocents by the scheming chief as he feeds his insatiable sexual desires. Once released upon others, these cravings cause an all too realistic struggle involving life and death.

This story tiptoed into some frightening aspects of politics and how we won and then lost the war. It seemed Generals are no different than anyone else . . . it's all about looking good. Really good.

Awesome read about grace under fire. The part regarding getting shot at from MP's after staring down the enemy was strange indeed. His writing style reflected his journalistic experiences I suppose.

Very in-depth work. Insightful regarding world leaders past. I also got a kick out of the motivations of the world during a troubling time. America was self-interested and had a desire to profit. Guess the song remains the same.
