Elise Skidmore is an old soul whose love for prose was ironically rekindled by the digital revolution. A longstanding member of CompuServe's Writers Forum and Administrator of private writers group called SectionSixx, she delights in trading turns of phrase with literary compatriots worldwide.

A New Yorker by birth and by choice, Elise lives on the south shore of Long Island with her husband. While she misses her two grown children, she is quite proud of their success and independence.

Elise is also an Epic eBook Award finalist author for two of her three poetry anthologies, all of which contain her original photography in addition to the vivid tapestry of her words.

Yours For A Song

Music hath charms
to soothe the savage breast
and today I feel like singing.
Won't you join me?
It doesn't matter
if we're out of tune
or dancing different steps;
we're together,
that's all that matters.
It's such a little thing,
but it would rock my world
like a long-planned grand gesture.
I'm yours for a song.
Come sing with me.

Anne of Green Gables is a classic that I've always heard about but never actually read until now. What a lovely book! I'm sorry it took me so many years to get around to reading it. Don't make the same mistake.

Thanks, Marsha. Don't know how often I'll be around, but I guess we'll see. I just got here because I entered to win a copy of Eve's new book. :-)
