A little bit of autobiography ~ Women

I've been thinking about Zoe Lambert's comments regarding autobiography in our recent interview. Zoe states,  

Of course, the relation of the self to writing is more complex than the
insertion of autobiographical experiences or facts or the creation of characters
of the same age and gender as the author.
I think Zoe is absolutely correct, the relation of self to writing is really complex,

Collecting Stories

I have a brief article about putting together a short story collection over at Lancashire Writing Hub. I talk about how I selected the stories for Sweet Home, how I ordered them and how I chose the title.

The picture to the left is my kitchen worktop. I used post-it notes to help me order the collection and I swapped the stories around as I passed. To read more about the process click on the
