Having lived most of my life in South West London I have always enjoyed being part of the arts scene, regularly attending fringe theatre and art galleries, and trying my hand at such things as amateur acting, sculpting, and garden design. The whole time however I was writing, plays at first and then moving on to novels. I made the usual half hearted efforts to get them published, built up a modestly impressive collection of rejection slips as we all have and put it down to experience. A change of lifestyle a few years ago however decided me to make more effort both with my writing and my attempts to get it published. It paid off, and last year my first book The Guru Game was published (www.mygreenpublisher.com. and Amazon.) This was an out ...more

Rumors of my death are greatly exagerated

Just testing really. I see I last posted in Febrary 2014 when the world was a very different place, Trump was just a bad joke, we were not on the verge of World War Three, and my book Seance had just been published.

What's new since those far away and innocent day, and why have I emerged from my cobweb encrusted coffin to lurch around amongst you all again? Well recently I won The Somerset Fello... Read more of this blog post »

“Reading was my escape and my comfort, my consolation, my stimulant of choice: reading for the pure pleasure of it, for the beautiful stillness that surrounds you when you hear an author's words reverberating in your head.”

Tinsley I've been totally dormant on Goodreads ever since I joined so I think it's time I became more active.

Just updating on my situation, my debut novel The Guru Game was published last year. Since then I've been less than impressed by the publishers so I approached Belevedere Publishers in the autumn and I'm thrilled to be able to say that they have accepted my new book, Seance, which will be coming out roughly mid February. They are also looking at other books of mine, so with luck I could be releasing a further one later in the year.

I have to say I feel all at sea with this site, so if I post inapropriate things in the wrong place, do make allowances.
