Lee Larsen's Blog

March 28, 2017

To say the past couple of years have been crazy would be an understatement. In 2015 I transferred to a new position for my day job, and it literally consumed all of my time. I was forced to put writing on hold for a while, but I recently transferred to a new position, which should afford me more time to write. I started writing again last month. The re-write for Hunting Bloodlines took longer than expected, so I am still finishing up that book, while continuing to make changes to the outline for Ashes of Nightfall (Book 4).

My plan is still to release books 3 and 4 within a couple months of each other. Thank you all so much for your patience and support! I am excited to finish this series so that none of my readers have to be left on a frustrating cliffhanger again.

Lee Larsen
I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday season and a good New Years! I just realized that it has been almost a year since I last posted on this blog, so I think I should probably start with an apology. Let me reassure everyone that I have not taken a year off from writing. I have had to make some major changes in the story for book III, Hunting Bloodlines, which is one of the reasons it has not been released yet. I am hoping to have Hunting Bloodlines finished sometime in the next few weeks.

With that being said, I have decided to hold off on releasing Hunting Bloodlines until I have finished Book IV in the series: Ashes of Nightfall. The reason for this is not because I like to torture my readers I am waiting to release the last two books in the series, because the cliffhanger at the end of Book III is even worse than the one at the end of Book II, which I had a lot of people complain about. My goal is to release Hunting Bloodlines this summer, and then release Ashes of Nightfall a month later. That way no one has to endure another cliffhanger for too long.

January 21, 2014

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I have been inundated with people asking when Book III is going to be published, because some of my readers don’t want to wait after the way Book II ended. Let me start by saying I am sorry. The first three books in the series do end on cliffhangers, and no it is not because I find pleasure in torturing my readers. They end that way because I want people to be excited about reading the next book. Even though it might be painful for some now, once the series is completed I hope all will be forgiven.

As far as the series is concerned, I again must apologize. Life, and my day job, have delayed my writing the last few months. As of now, I am anticipating a summer release for Hunting Bloodlines (Falling Night # 3). I had originally hoped to have it released in the next few weeks, but between a promotion at work, selling my house, and still trying to be a father to four young boys, I have not been able to write as much as I had hoped to. Now that things are getting settled, I will again be focused on finishing Book III. As soon as I have a firm release date I will let everyone know. In the meantime, I would like to again thank all of you who have taken the time to post reviews on Amazon and/or Goodreads. I am grateful for all of your support.

September 18, 2013

A lot of people have been asking when the next book in the Falling Night Series will be out, so I wanted to take a minute to keep everyone updated. Book 3 in the series, Hunting Bloodlines, will be coming out in the early part of next year. The final volume in the series, Ashes of Nightfall, I anticipate being released before the end of next year.

I would also like to thank all of you who have read the series, especially those of you who have taken the time to provide feedback or write reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and other websites. It is so exciting to see so many people read and enjoy the story, and many of my readers are only aware of the books thanks to you all sharing the links or telling them about the series, so I thank you for that.

I will continue to post updates about the series as soon as I have more concrete release dates. In the meantime I wish all of you nothing but the best.

July 29, 2013

I am excited to announce that Chasing Daylight, Book Two in the Falling Night Series, is now available for purchase through Amazon and other major retailers. If you get the chance to read the book, I hope you enjoy the story. If you tell any of your friends about the book, please make sure they read Falling Night first. Chasing Daylight picks up right where the first book ended, so if they haven’t read Falling Night it would likely be confusing.

I would also like to say thank you to everyone who has read Falling Night and/or left reviews for the book. Your support and feedback is invaluable, and I am grateful for each and every one of you. When I started writing this series I had no idea the amount of time and effort that getting a series published takes, and without all of your support, this book would still be nothing more than an idea trapped inside my head (Or a book that no one read:). So again… thank you.

April 1, 2013

I am excited to announce that the E-book versions of Falling Night have now been permanently discounted to just 99 cents!

A lot of us are going through hard times, and I want everyone to have a chance to read this story, regardless of their financial situation. That is why I have made the E-book version available for $0.99 through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and all major retailers.

I have also had quite a few people begging for the sequel. As of now I still anticipate to release Chasing Daylight in June. I will let you know if we have to move the release date back for any unforeseen reason.

Thank you again for all of your support.

January 25, 2013

I would like to start by thanking all of you who have read Falling Night. A special thanks to those who have left ratings or reviews of the book. Without your support this story would still be undiscovered.

I decided to create this blog after receiving several messages asking when the sequel will be coming out, and I wanted to keep everyone informed. I will periodically post updates on the progress of the series.

Chasing Daylight will be the name of the next volume in the series, and I should have the manuscript finished within the next few weeks. The anticipated release date is June of this year. I will post the exact date of the release once I have it.

A lot of readers have been asking about the background of the story and other unanswered questions from book 1. While I am excited that so many are taking an active interest in the story and background, I can't answer all of the questions because some of them would ruin the story going forward. What I can say is this: Most of the questions I have been asked will be answered in the next book.

Thank you again for all of your support. I am excited for book 2 and can't wait for all of you to have a chance to read it!
