ultrafacts:

Steven Spazuk is a Canada-based artist who uses candle soot to create elegant drawings. After depositing soot on his media with a candle or torch, he etches lines and patterns in the soot with  pencils and feathers.

Though Spazuk has spent the last 14 years developing and perfecting his soot painting technique, the creation process always has an element of random spontaneity and improvisation.

A 2 star review

A 2 star review

Well,  it finally happened I got a bad review (on Amazon)… Or at least “An0ma1y” did. Book 1 Now a free ebook An Amazon user called Meg gave it two stars and said that she found it interesting,  but frustrating, and won’t be finishing it… I don’t know what she found interesting or frustrating though, as reviews go I find it about how she found my book. What was frustrating, the characters? The…

Combat descriptions

To practice writing combat descriptions I used to describe fight sequences from martial arts movies, a practice I would recommend to anyone whether they have combat training themselves or not. A chart like this would have been helpful then to avoid repetitions. I’ve also used this technique in Roleplaying games, to add spice to otherwise dull dice-rolls, a list like this would have had numbers added to it do I could use it as a table.

Mutated And Deformed Anatomy: The Sculptures Of

Alessandro Boezio

The work of artist

Alessandro Boezio

is

somewhere between a cross of beautiful, anatomic sculptures and a

science experiment gone wrong. Created from clay and fiberglass,

Boezio’s sculptures take on a strange life form all of their own. The

mutated anatomy included in his work display hands with misplaced

digits, spidery entities with fingers used for legs, and limbs with

mismatched body parts. The artist has an amazing talent in sculpture as

his hands and feet, which he mainly focuses on, are incredibly

life-like. At first glance, you may not see the odd mutation of the

individual hand. However, the uncanny feeling soon forces you to reckon

with its disturbing deformation.

These are really beautifully creepy.
