In John Dykstra’s office at ILM, Joe Johnston stands next to shelves exhibiting Colin Cantwell’s concept models, from the top- Skyhopper, Death Star, landspeeder, pirate ship, sandcrawler with tanks. Star Destroyer.
Additional photos are a polaroid that George Lucas took of the Star Destroyer labeled “star d”, the Star Destroyer model and the Death Star Model by Colin Cantwell.
Wow, they changed quite a bit didn’t they? I guess they were before the grunge was added, things are still shiny and bright…

Ironmaster 1st Drafted!
After months, weeks or is it years of planning and writing I finally have finished the first draft of my Steampunk Mosaic Novel Ironmaster.

[/caption] I'm not certain about how complete it really is, that's for my alpha readers to decide (I was a programmer, you alpha test before beta testing, but for some reason everyone outside of computing forgets that - beta readers read the 2nd draft not the 1st in my books).
It's a bit of a wild ride, at the moment and definately needs quite a lot of work to massage it into a different shape. But since I want to take a break from it for a bit, before editing, rewriting and all the extra creative nonsense I have to do. I'm going to work on a time-travel short story project with one of my goodreads groups for a bit and start planning the next game and book series that I'm going to work on.
Hopefully the kids being off school until September won't interfere with my plans too much, and I'll be able to dedicate at least sometime to these projects.
If anyone wants to sign up for alpha reading, you need a google drive account, and send me your email address and I'll give you access so you can read it online.
Anyone sane might want to wait for the beta reading phase which will probably consist of a limited run e-book for convenience. Let me know if you want to sign up for that too.

Presumably this is what the Wild Hunt/Gabriel Hounds/Cwm Annwn go after when there are no lost souls available… Creepy but pretty, I think we need a new adjective, creepretty, for this kind of Scare-candy.

Some signs exist because theyre practical Others have a hell of a story behind them
That must have been one unbelievable swamp-trip.
HPL would undoubtedly have used this as a story-idea with a few degenerate swamp families thrown in. Robert E Howard would have gone with a reptile worshipping cult with ties to Africa…
Me? I’d blend the two with secular science-major spring-breakers driving gators insane and causing trouble for the local hard-working swamp-folk, for the Lolz, and it’s all fun and games until someone loses an arm, leg, or eye…
