R. Tezak was born and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She attended a private, parochial school in the west suburbs and transitioned awkwardly to a very public university. She spent two years in pre-med until she realized she was doing a heavy double major and enjoyed her English classes far more than dissecting animals. So she graduated with a B.A. in Creative Writing and ventured out West to hike and camp the Grand Canyon, sleep on budget motel rooftops, often waking with spiders in her hair to attend concerts in Arcadia, California. Somewhere between Seattle and Nevada, she ran out of money and decided to teach. I have to remind myself that my passion, my stories need to come first, and sometimes the house can be a mess, the kids can watch tv sometimes, and I need to put on my writers hat and focus on that, another to battle writer's block is to read or write your way through it. The writing doesn't have to be your best but at least you are writing. (less)

I love the act of putting words together to express myself. I also love creating, creating a character knowing how they would behave in certain situations, dialogue anticipating how they would respond in various conversations. I have been missing in action from the web for sometime, and I would like to send a formal apology to everyone and anyone looking for me.
