Mitu, a cute 8-year-old girl, and daughter of Neeta, Shamita’s best friend. Shamita and Neeta knew each other from last 20 years and they enjoyed each other’s company a lot. They wished to take their friendship to the next level of being relatives. They wished to get their children married to each other. They made sure Sonu and Mitu meet each other very often so that they become best friends like them, inseparable. Mitu and Neeta arrived home and they were welcomed with an open arm. Shamita and Neeta started their usual banter and kids went into their play room. Sonu and Mitu were very comfortable with each other and started playing.
‘Do you know our mothers want us to get married?’ said Sonu.
‘Like mom and dad,’ replied Mitu.
‘Yes. But only when they stay friends like this, otherwise we are free to marry anyone we wish to marry,’ said Sonu.
Unfortunately, after two weeks Shamita and Neeta had a big fight and they never met each other. Sonu and Mitu were not allowed to ask questions about it to their mothers.
Twenty years later Sonu decides to know Mitu’s whereabouts and he set Google at work. Luckily, Google did its best to him. In the few days, Sonu met Mitu. Their friendship turned into love. They knew their mother would never agree to this. They decided to let them know and invited them at a local restaurant. Sonu told them about how he met Mitu and about his decision to marry her. Mothers looked at each other in anger and then heartily laughed.
‘Your theory worked, Congratulations!’ said Shamita. Neeta hugged her.
Sonu and Mitu exchanged surprised glances and they realized...

Eight-year-old girl Mini flipped pages of a storybook. Her mother gifted it to her a week back. She liked seeing pictures in it. Her mother wanted her to develop reading habit at an early age. She decided Mini should read at least for 15 minutes before she went to sleep. After a week of tossing pages, Mini made her mind and read it. She started reading it. She enjoyed it. After a month when story book was about to finish, she informed her mother that she needed a new one. Her mother was very happy that the Mini was developing an interest in reading. Mini’s mother took her to a bookshop. Excited Mini looked through several story books. But she picked one coloring book instead of a storybook. Her mother didn't like it and she selected a storybook for Mini.
After a month when her mother took her back to book shop. Instead of selecting a storybook she again picked a coloring book.
Mini did coloring during her free time.
Every time her mother took her to book shop, she used to select a coloring book instead of a storybook.
Her mother realized that coloring is the activity Mini enjoyed the most. Her mother was happy that a small incident made her look and understand her daughter’s interest.

WIFE’S LOVE: TIFFIN BOX
Namita, a newly married bride, cooked for husband’s lunch box with great love and pride. Dreaming her husband would shower compliments on her post having lunch at the office. But to her displeasure, he never said a word to her. If ever Namita asked him about a lunch box, he used to wrap the conversation in just one word- good.
‘How was lunch box today?’
‘Good.’
Namita finally gave up and decided to teach her husband. She packed him a meal of burnt paratha and burnt sabzi. She thought her husband would come back home fuming and then she would reveal her intention. But to her surprise, he came back normal.
‘How was lunch box today?’
‘Good.’
‘But it was burnt?’
‘So what you made it with love and it was best.’
Namita understood that good or bad, for her husband, food cooked by her was important and not its taste.

Comparison is the thief of joy!
A Crow living in the forest was very happy in his life. One day he thought he should go to the other side of the forest to meet other animals. When he landed on the other side of the forest, he saw a peacock. Crow was fully immersed in peacock's beauty. He could not believe that such a beautiful bird existed on earth. He cursed his ugliness and said to the peacock, ‘Peacock you are so beautiful. Wish I could be as beautiful as you are.’
‘Even you can.’
‘What!’ the Crow expressed his surprise.
Peacock said him that a few months back even he was as ugly as him. He felt he should die and in depression, he went to Atlanta mountains and there he found a miracle well and drank its water and became so beautiful. Peacock suggested Crow go there too.
Crow excitedly flew to Atlanta Mountains. As soon as the crow flew, Peacock made crow’s fun with friends. Peacock eagerly waited for the Crow to come back so that he could tease him.
But to the peacock’s shock, the crow came back happily. Crow thanked Peacock, he said, ‘because of your inaccurate information I flew and saw several beautiful places around Atlanta Mountains.’
Moral: Don't compare your insides to someone else outside.

Indian Online Moral Stories | It's not a gift, if it's not expensive!
In the plush area of Mumbai lived a boy named Vinay. He lived with his parents. His elder sister, Tanvi was married. She lived in Delhi. Vinay was a carefree young boy. He lacked ambition. His life was only regarding partying and socializing. One day Vinay lost his parents in a road accident. Vinay and Tanvi grieved for days. Eventually, they had to move on. Days passed, Tanvi became very busy with her household. Vinay decided to take responsibility of his dad’s business empire. Tanvi’s husband Suresh was very happy with Vinay’s decision. But Tanvi had a different opinion.
‘Not mature enough to handle business,’ assumed Tanvi.
Tanvi was against his brother's decision of joining the business. Suresh encouraged Vinay. Initially, Vinay showed enthusiasm and concentrated on work. Ultimately he lost interest in the business. He started partying again and spent a lot of money! Tanvi and Vinay met quite often. Every time they met Tanvi asked for an expensive gift from Vinay. Suresh was against Tanvi’s behavior.
‘Don’t I treat you with gifts that you ask Vinay for it?’
‘He is my brother; he can afford to pamper me with gifts.’
‘Okay fine. I understand that he is your brother and you can surely ask him to give your gifts. But why an expensive gift?’
‘Because it's not a gift if it's not expensive.’
Suresh disagreed.
Years passed, Tanvi used to demand expensive gifts like gold or diamond jewelry from Vinay each time they met. Vinay was suffering huge losses in business. But he still pampered his sister with expensive gifts. He didn’t tell Suresh either that he was on the verge of bankruptcy. He was stressed. In trauma, he lost control of his car and met a bad accident. It took him months to recover. One day while he was still recovering at Tanvi’s home. Tanvi and Suresh walked into his room. Vinay was very depressed.
‘Here are your savings!’ said Tanvi giving him an envelope.
‘What?’
‘I said here are your savings.’
Vinay opened the envelope. It had details of a bank statement with a balance of Rs. 25 lakhs. He looked puzzled.
‘You remember I used to demand expensive gifts from you. I use to sell them and deposit money in a bank account in your name. Because I know that you don’t save and spend unnecessarily. Savings hold you during bad times and help you start anew.’
Vinay and Suresh were amazed.
Moral: Be a good person, but don’t waste time to prove it.
