Chimnese Davids is an accounts clerk she has been a part of many online writing websites as an official of two poetry communities, Jingle Poetry & Gooseberry Gardens. She has been published in two anthologies, Step Into My Shoes & Love in Creativity. She lives in Cape Town, South Africa.

Writing has always been my passion since I was a little girl, listening to my grandmother, as she would tell me stories of her childhood, I would sit and listen intensively. I guess you can say I was a bit home bound, my books and my grandmother was where you would always find me. My space for me as long as I can recall was "with her nose in her book" as my gran replied. I post most of my poetry that’s currently on my author blog at Allpoetry.com. In

      I am Thirty Today
Today I am thirty years of age
I never thought I would reach it
so elegantly and beautifully.
When I turned 29 I was ready to embrace it
and live life to the fullest
learning to accept life's choices
and not allow it to rob me of its valuability.
I am Thirty Today
I have found new hope
in a better future
Single at thirty and on my way.
Nothing can stop this poetess
that still has... Read more of this blog post »

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
“To find the balance you want, this is what you must become. You must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it's like you have 4 legs instead of 2. That way, you can stay in the world. But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart, instead. That way, you will know God.”
Elizabeth Gilbert
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
“I'm choosing happiness over suffering, I know I am. I'm making space for the unknown future to fill up my life with yet-to-come surprises.”

"Poetry isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but Chimnese Davids’ poetry is something that most of us might be able to understand and follow. What she has written is written from the heart. It not only shows the hurt of a broken heart but also an understan..." Read more of this review »

More of Chimnese's books…
“Behind these eyes
there is a girl trapped within
her pain – a girl feeling all the emotions
of anger and sadness.
She’s fighting for a way out.” (In her eyes, p. 39)”
Chimnese Davids, Muses of Wandering Passions

“I've pushed your love away and I've run from you, sometimes I've checked out, but this is the reason. I just couldn't understand what we have. I mean we have never met in real life, yet we've loved each other for over 3 years.”
Chimnese Davids, My Unrequited Love Letters

“Learning to have patience and not forcing the relationship is part of the twin soul process. If you are trying to force your will onto the other person, chances are you’re not ready to really connect yourself. There should be no blame here - only deep and unconditional love. ”
Chimnese Davids, My Unrequited Love Letters

“Cut the ending. Revise the script. The man of her dreams is a girl.”
Julie Anne Peters, Keeping You a Secret

“Time is so subjective, its measure totally dependent upon the means by which we mark its passage. When we follow the conventional milestones, meting out our lives with birthdays and graduations and anniversaries and funerals, we are left with voids along the way-vast stretches of empty space lost forever, never to be filled. As time grows short, the significance of each moment increases, until finally every heartbeat is of monumental importance. Or so it seems at first. I have discovered, almost too late, that time is not just arbitrary, but of no great consequence after all. She has taught me that a touch is a lifetime, a kiss forever, and that passion will transcend the limitations of fragile existence to span eternity.

I no longer worry about the beat of my heart-I need only the memory of her to live on. My soul, my very being, pulses with wonder at the places within me that she has filled, with gratitude for the wounds she has healed, and with everlasting devotion for the love she has given. In her arms, I found passion and peace and a place to rest. No matter where I travel or what road I take to reach my detestation, I will always have the comfort of her hand in my and the soft whisper of her voice reminding me that I do not need to be afraid. This, this has always been my secret desire, and now I need search no further. I am Loved, and I am content,”
Radclyffe, Love's Masquerade

“No wonder you want to be a writer. How can you not, with all that behind you? You practically are a novel already.”
Sylvia Brownrigg, Pages for You

“It could not always be love in the afternoon and passion in the night, gifts given, notes written, meals fed to each other. It can't all be like that.”
Sylvia Brownrigg, Pages for You

“The thing about mountains is that you have to keep on climbing them, and that it's always hard, but there's a view from top every time when you finally get there.”
Nancy Garden, Annie on My Mind
