Hello, Patricia,

So nice to see you here. I try to write three hours a day, or at least work at promoting my writing those three hours. I try to do this every morning; however, sometimes I will write in late afternoon, or morning and again late afternoon, or occasionally in the evening. If I am deeply into something I am writing and cannot pull myself away, it becomes an all-day affair, even into the evening. I do write every day. Not to have my writing time tends to make me unpleasant to be around. :-)

Thank you for visiting me.

I have traveled to Asheville, N.C., the fictional Altamont in Thomas Wolfe's "Look Homeward, Angel." Asheville's where Thomas Wolfe grew up and where F. Scott Fitzgerald, among other notables, stayed at the historic Grove Park Inn. Fitzgerald reserved a room over the front entrance of the hotel so he could watch the comings and goings of other notables. I love Asheville. It's a centering place for me as an author.(less)

Well written, imaginative and evocative with a sensual, mystical quality. The scent of all those flowers and trees, and the pollen in the old garden almost made me sneeze -- Elizabeth Goudge envelopes you in her sense of place.
