Youmacon 2015 – Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who came to visit me at Youmacon 2015! You made the convention so memorable!
I was there with Malik, the creator of Dragon Ball New Age. You can read my review of Dragon Ball New Age Volume 1 for my opinion of his work. It’s incredible.
Malik and I make for a good team at a booth, because he gives you the ‘punching and screaming,’ while I give you the ‘heart and soul.’ One’s fiction and fun, while the other is non-fiction and enlightening.
On Saturday night we were both...

Hosting Dragon Ball Fan Manga
The Dao of Dragon Ball is now hosting Dragon Ball fan manga.
The first series is titled Dragon Ball Zeroverse, and is a long lost and unnofficial series published in Tibet in 1996.
Dragon Ball Zeroverse has only been recently rediscovered and cleaned up by Marb, former owner of the DragonNews site, aka Dragon Ball Benelux.
Marb has translated each of the hundreds of pages from Chinese into English, and is cleaning up each page by hand.
He asked for a place to host the content; so I figured...

Leaving Light of Hope

I am no longer the writer of Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope. I have been replaced by another writer who will modify my scripts and prepare them for production according to Robot Underdog’s preferences.
Why have I been replaced?
The director and producer of the series have a different idea of what constitutes a good script, a good story, and a good adaptation of live-action Dragon Ball Z.
Despite being The Dao of Dragon Ball, they don’t want my scripts.
ExplanationI think my readers deserve an...

Review of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is everything Dragon Ball Z fans love about the series.
This movie has more action, more humor, and a more well-developed story than Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.
If you liked Battle of Gods, you’ll love ‘F’, and if you were looking for more fights, then ‘F’ has got you covered. The intensity of the hand-to-hand combat and the fluidity of the animation is something fans haven’t seen since the original DBZ.
Akira Toriyama manages to ‘up’ himself and the cas...

Happy Goku Day!
Happy Goku Day! May 9, 2015 is now officially recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association as “Goku Day”!
Why May 9? Because in Japanese the number 5 is pronounced go (五) and the number 9 is pronounced kyū (九), or lazily, ku. Thus, Goku.
Goku’s Japanese voice actress, Masako Nozawa, attended an event after a screening of Resurrection of ‘F’ on Saturday in Shinjuku to commemorate the new day.
Sunday is Mother’s Day, so a ‘Goku’ actor surprised Nozawa-san on stage with a bouquet of 59 carn...
