What story I’m currently working on:
Still jamming out on that revise and resubmit, but I think I’m finally nearing the end. It’s been time consuming as anything, but also just as rewarding. I’ve absolutely loved working on this story, and I’m excited and nervous to submit it in. Now that I’m finishing up though, I can finally return my attention to Tempting Ballad.
What I’m editing/marketing:
Thief’s Crusade is still out on submission, and A Card of Shadows is going to join it in a couple of days, so that’s all sorts of exciting. I’m getting more in depth in edits for Pomegranate’s Kiss now, but I also have a class I need to finish writing, so that’s going to come first. It’s only been a couple of weeks since both Taking Root, the first book in the Eros Tales series, and then Hunting for Spring, the first book in the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series, came out! They’re both available to read for free on Kindle Unlimited! Next on the horizon is in October…Forged Redemption.

Line of the week:
Bree hadn’t felt this way since she’d drank an entire carafe of coffee out of spite. Mom told her one cup was enough, and Bree—well, she couldn’t help but defy the rules. She had been seven, not used to drinking coffee, and as stubborn as she was now. In the span of an hour, the cramps in her stomach, the raw gurgling and churning as if she downed a bottle of acid, had been enough for her to swear off the stuff for good.
As they pulled onto their street, the feeling descended once more.

What story I’m currently working on:
So, I was going to dive back into Tempting Ballad, I swear. Those teeny tiny hundred words were for that book. However, I got in a revise and resubmit for an old manuscript, and so I was busy in deep editing and rewriting mode, which takes a LOT. Chances are, it’s probably going to consume most of my time for the next few weeks, and I’m 100% okay with that. I loved this story to pieces, and it’s worth the effort.
What I’m editing/marketing:
With Thief’s Crusade out on submission, I can place my full attention on A Card of Shadows, which I wrote last year and am now rewriting like crazy. I loved that manuscript with a ferocious passion, the world, the characters, everything. I still have a class to continue writing, so I’m going to need to divert work into that, and I started doing some casual edits on Pomegranate’s Kiss when I couldn’t focus. Mid-July saw the release of both Taking Root, the first book in the Eros Tales series, and then Hunting for Spring‘s re-release, the first book in the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series! Next on the horizon is in October…Forged Redemption.

“Not coincidence,” was all Maeve said, which didn’t help in the slightest. What made things worse is that Bree agreed, and Bree made a point to disagree with her sister any chance she got. But the truth was as brazen as this autumn air. Mom hadn’t come home, and a wraith prowled through their neighborhood. Growing up among the Wanderers taught you early on that everything was connected, from stubbing your toe on the kitchen table to finding out a rash of murders spread across Philly in the same morning. Bree was a firm believer, and right now, the belief settled in her gut like the fight she’d had with Mom.

What story I’m currently working on:
I still didn’t write anything, but it’s totally fine. My priorities were with the other aspects of the job, like editing and marketing. I’m staring at Tempting Ballad, but it’s hard to dive back in after the entire-book-long excursion I took. Regardless, I’m going to get some more wordage done on it in August for sure. Over the next few days I should have recharged my well enough to dive back into the writing end of things.
What I’m editing/marketing:
Well, A Thief’s Crusade is now safely in a submission box, so I can attempt to put it out of my mind for the next few months. (Like that’s going to happen…) I’m kind of left with a hollow feeling after finishing two projects I loved so damn much, which is probably the sign to take a bit of a break and refill my well. I’ve got a class to plan, so I’m switching to that. Last week was also big for two releases, Taking Root, the first book in the Eros Tales series, and then Hunting for Spring‘s re-release, the first book in the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series!

Jett sank into the seat beside him and cast a surveying glance around the room. “What do you think the prospects are like tonight?”
Renn wrinkled his nose as he glanced around. He spotted a couple of stunners by the bar, from the brunette girl with the smoky eyes to the hot guy with the flame red hair. “I’ve got a couple in mind already, but I’m willing to grab some food with you lot before I go to pillage.” He wanted every spare second he could with their makeshift family, before he headed to Boston Harbor Hotel tonight.
“So benevolent,” Liz drawled. “Gracing us mere mortals with your presence.”

Twenty Books Published!
My first book, An Airship Named Desire, got published with Hazardous Press in 2012.
Come August, I’ll have been a published author for seven years now, and I have to say the amount I’ve learned in that time has been immense.
For the longest time, twenty books was my goal. It offered something tangible to work towards in an industry where everything is constantly in flux. I hadn’t planned on doing any self-publishing, but when Hazardous Press, Jupiter’s Garden Press, Breathless Press, Loose Id, Ellora’s Cave, and After Glows Publishing ALL closed down, I went different routes with each of the books. With the sheer number of press closures I was in the middle of, I had begun to feel cursed.
Still, twenty kept me in the game. I’d built in my head twenty as the magic number, where I’d finally spill over into the success I’d been chasing. And now that I’m here at twenty, am I where I thought I’d be? Not in the slightest. However, the mind likes to dream big, whereas real progress is measured by different markers. Has my writing improved in that time? Staggeringly. Each book has me learning new techniques and expanding my horizons. Have I been able to beat my own sales records? I have, and that is something to take pride in.
So, while twenty books isn’t the fanfare and confetti I once imagined it might be, I can still appreciate the discipline learned and how setting that goal gave me a push I needed to keep writing and keep creating. And if I can keep up that trend, I feel like I’ll continue climbing up that mountain until I reach the top.
See you all at forty books!

What story I’m currently working on:
I didn’t write anything this week and I’m not even sorry. Come on, I did like a month’s worth of words last week alone! Plus, I had two back to back releases, AND a whole lot of editing to do. But, next on my agenda will probably be Tempting Ballad, Renn and Kincaid’s book, thoooough I’m not going to lie, I have a certain Dukas sibling’s book percolating in the back of my brain for the next Eros Tales book!
What I’m editing/marketing:
I’ve been massively diving into edits on A Thief’s Crusade, and I’m really hoping to do a good job on this one. I love Grif Blackmore and the Outlaws so much, and the whole found family thing always tugs at my heart strings. I’m also coming off of the high of two releases in one week with first, Taking Root, the first book in the Eros Tales series, and then Hunting for Spring‘s re-release, the first book in the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series!

Liz’s phone began to buzz, and she gave Ky the nudge off her lap. He let out a mix between a whine and a groan while she made her way closer to the front of the RV.
“Poor baby,” Jett called over to him. “You can come sit in my lap.”
Renn flashed a grin. “You can sit in mine and come.” Jett let out an annoyed noise while Ky’s eyes crinkled with amusement. He let out a bark of a laugh.

Hunting for Spring Release Day!
Did you miss the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles? I know I did! If you haven’t checked out my Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series the first time around, you definitely won’t want to miss out. And even if you checked it out before, this book has been completely revamped. Grab your copy HERE!
Hunters are a lonely breed, and Conor’s no exception, until the day he meets Brenna. Even though she slinks in unannounced and kills the wight he was hunting down, the girl’s a mystery and he can’t get that blinding smile or those gorgeous curves off his mind. Since they’re both after the same caster who’s unleashing these monsters, he suggests teaming up, and despite her initial reluctance, the hungry way she scans him down promises something powerful.
However, her secrets have repercussions, and faster than Conor can lift his Glock, he’s drawn into the web of kidnappings and Unseelie mischief, all concealing the machinations of a darker foe—one that plans to bring Philly to ruin.

Taking Root Release Day!
The Eros Tales series is a combination of my love for Greek myths and family series. Not only is each book in the series based on a different Greek myth, but also features a different member of the Dukas family. I just finished writing book two, and I’m really hoping you all will love it as much as I did.
Grab your copy of the start of the series HERE!
I’ve been burned by my ex-fiancée and sentenced myself to long shifts at the hospital ever since. There’s no way I’d give anyone else the opportunity to break my heart again.
Until chance brings me face to face with the girl from my past.
Danielle is still as beautiful as ever, and seeing her reminds me of how I felt about her—how I still feel about her.
But she’s changed. I can see it when I look into her eyes. It’s like she’s no longer living, but merely existing. An enigma laden with secrets from her past—secrets that are forcing her to run from me. Only this time, I won’t let her get away so easily.
I’m determined to peel away every layer of secrets she carries around her, and to protect her from whatever it is that’s causing her to run.
Danielle Reynolds will not slip through my fingers again.
This time…she stays.
