You found me! Author, blogger, editrix, journalist, poet...a little bit of all the right ingredients.

Background Check: I'm an award-winning writer, blogger, journalist and poet. I've been a writer all my life. I just finished a three-year term as Poet Laureate of Alameda (city). I've been a newspaper+magazine editor and a freelance writer for years. I currently blog for a book site called All Things Book.

Bad Habits: Old books are my crack. I love Jane Austen and British lit. I got my master's in early 20th century British literature, and that nerdiness hasn't stopped. I have been working on a proposal for publishers; last year sent out several but no luck. This year hoping to make it happen so that Doris in WW2 can see print! If I have no luck with traditional publishers, I will self-pub, probably in about a year. I don't think I could get it to print earlier, because I'm still waitng on responses from trad publishers! Long answer -- the short version is, about a year from now!(less)

Getting Ready...For a New Release!

My new book is coming out in a few weeks! I've been lucky and diligent enough over the past few years that I've had a new book out every fall. The newest is a change for me -- chicklit!
