Timing is EVERYTHING…
Today’s PONDERINGS…
Stuck? Have a block? Yea, that happens sometimes….
I was talking with Fireball Pop yesterday and he mentioned that he was facing a writer’s block recently. It’s a hard thing for creative people,… or is it? We become so comfortable with terms. Definitions to describe how we feel or what’s happening to us. But, we have to remember that it doesn’t start out there. It starts in US. WE define. WE describe. WE choose.
So, if we DO have the ability to choose, then we have to choose wisely. We have to make decisions that are good for us and affirming what’s wrong doesn’t do that. Thinking about the problem doesn’t solve the problem. It only perpetuates it. We have to act as if… in order to BE. We have to concentrate on the solution and SEE it in our mind’s eye.
Now, some people would say that I’m not being realistic. Pretending to be something I’m not. But there’s more to this than meets the eye…
It’s easier to understand when I put it this way… A Football team has to BELIEVE they are winners… in order to win. You have to BELIEVE you’ll succeed… in order to succeed. And, you have to BELIEVE there’s an answer to your problem… in order for one to be created. In fact, BELIEF is the catalyst that actually makes it manifest in your world. I’ve learned this. And it works. Success ALWAYS follows thoughts of success.
Try it today. Believe that today will be awesome. Don’t fake it. Really try to believe that today will work out just fine, regardless of what you see with your eyes. Have some faith. Have a LOT of Faith. And it will, according to the strength of your belief. It’s all up to you.
Then WATCH it unfold. Don’t worry if you don’t know HOW. Just believe it regardless.

OLM Wacky Seminar DAY 1 explores a Strawberry Hot Rod… #malibu @malibupatch
Wow, what a fun first Seminar at Our Lady of Malibu yesterday morning with the 3rd and 4th graders. A great group that helped me create what is now the Strawberry Raptor Rocket Infinty 5000! Yea, it’s a mouthful, as most large strawberries are…, but Kathie and I had a blast talking about identifying what you love and finding a way to turn it into a career. These kids were on it! Look forward to Wacky Wednesday!

KING TAHOE Towing Service for wee tykes…
The other day, Kathie and I went up into to town for some grub, only to find a Dad in a parking lot trying to fit his kid’s electric toy Jeep into the truck of his CLS Mercedes. As you can imagine, this jeep was about 3 times the size of the trunk. And that’s when Kathie looked at me and said, “Time for a Tow, Fireball.”
So, we pulled up next to the man and his son as they struggled to shove this car inside, his kid about 5 years old, and said “Need a tow?”
Turned out that he and his son walked from their house on Malibu Road to get some grub too, only the Jeep ran out of juice as they arrived. They walked back home, got their car and… voila, dilemma. But, since King Tahoe is not only a Malibu Taxi but a Towing Monster and always on the case, we lifted the Jeep puppy into the back and followed them back their their cool pad. Us car guys and girls have to stick together. How else are we gonna spread coolness across the planet?
On to the next adventure…
2013 ALTCAR Expo reveals a clear leader…
Last weekend I attended the 2013 ALT CAR EXPO in Santa Monica to see who’s really standing out. Now, there were a lot of great cars and companies doing what they could to raise awareness of green tech and provide an experience in driving, but it was clear that only GM fully understood how to get to their audience. Virtually all the brands were represented except Tesla, but their booths were humdrum and lacked invitation. The people running them looked as if they wanted to be somewhere else.
GM’s booth was a lounge. An inviting spot featuring their cars, couches, food and awesome music. I found myself going there to make calls and postings. Just hanging, and if I wanted to take a spin in one of their cars, there were enough to go around. None of the other companies did that… other than stare at you as you walked by, maybe saying hi, but no engagement.
That’s how you sell cars. Provide an experience and make it fun. The GM guys… were having fun. They even brought in the 2014 Electric Cadillac ELR and said “Have a seat!” Tons of people, all smiling, having a good time.
Afterwards, I really tried to see the other booths, but it was really flat. So… off I went to find more coolness. Lesson learned.

Ship passes the FIREBALL PAD and toots…
So there I was, minding my own business and watching JACK REACHER with Tom Cruise. (Not bad so far…)
And all of a sudden, I hear this BWOOOOOOONK!!! And that,… right after an accident on PCH, following sirens and all that stuff. But this lil’ “toot” made all that noise practically silence. It was a very serious horn, forcing me to ponder what it would be like to attach it to my KING TAHOE?
Just a thought, all you coppers out there. Don’t stop me just to find out whether I swam out there, uninstalled their horn, swam back and re-installed it into my truck. THAT would be insane! Could you imagine having to hold that horn in my teeth? C’mon, let’s be realistic.
I’d at least have to bring a Hefty Sack with me…
