DID YOU KNOW?? Eddie Paul built the red hot rod (not George Barris) for the movie Grease. And the original car is at THE VOLO. Paul was a legendary movie car builder who built 48 cars for Grease, including Hell’s Chariot, two white 1948 Fords, and more than 40 other cars. A studio representative knocked on Paul’s door and offered him $100 bills in exchange for building cars for Grease… and Paul delivered the cars to the studio two weeks later!!

The idea for Fantasy Island was initially pitched as a joke by creator Aaron Spelling, who said “What do you want, an island where people can go and live out their sexual fantasies?” to an executive who surprisingly loved the concept. Network executives initially wanted Orson Welles to play Mr. Roarke, but Spelling declined due to concerns about his temper on set!

Also on today’s RICH CORINTHIAN BLAST… Fireball Car Show Peeps start out with Legendary Bond, PIERCE BROSNAN, OZZY OSBOURNE, PARNELLI JONES and Fireball on set for STREET TUNER CHALLENGE in his original Shop in Torrance! The original name for the show SCOOBY DOO was “The Mysteries Five.” The show was originally pitched as a rock band with a dog who played the bongos… and Scooby’s full name was Scoobert Doo!! The name “Scooby-Doo” came from Frank Sinatra’s scat “doo-be-doo-be-doo” of his recording of “Strangers in the Night!”

Every day, Fireball busts out NEW TV or MOVIE CAR ART just for you guys… and today, it’s the HUTCHMOBILE from STARSKY & HUTCH!! New Prints, Mugs and Tees are in… and now Hutch has been immortalized into Fireball Hall of Flame!

DID YOU KNOW?? Starsky & Hutch ran from 1975 to 1979 and Starsky’s Torino also appeared in the first episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in 1979! Ken Hutchinson was a health food fan, while Dave Starsky was a junk food fan. But David Soul was married five times and had five sons and a daughter. He was a social activist, particularly for animal welfare, was fluent in German and Spanish, was of Norwegian descent, born in Chicago in 1943 and died in London in January 2024 at the age of 80… with a stellar career.

Also in today’s SOULFULL BLAST… Fireball Car Celebs include BARBIE, ATEAM‘S LIAM NEESON, Guitarist LONNY PAUL and MEL GILSON crunching MAD MAX! TRINITY gets SKETCHED, Celebs, Cool Cars, Monkees & Bats!

Welcome to AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE DAILY! The #1 site for CARS & HOLLYWOOD according the Planet URANUS! (It took a really long time for those guys to get back to us…) Let’s celebrate with a new TRINITY PINKERTON HOT ROD SKETCH!!! This is the incredible build by Metal Fabricator & Artist JOE MAGLIATO and will be seen in a ton of shows around SoCal!! And now you can have it PARKED IN YOUR PAD!

DID YOU NOW?? The Pinkertons were often hired by railroads and express companies to hunt down outlaws in the Wild West. They infiltrated the original Reno Gang (who were responsible for the first train robbery in the United States!), spent months chasing down Jesse James… and in 1861, discovered a plot to assassinate President-elect Abraham Lincoln in Baltimore! From the 1870’s to the 1890’s, the Pinkertons were the world’s largest Private Law Enforcement Organization, their motto being “We Never Sleep…” and their symbol… the unblinking eye. (They would have been more badass with this Hot Rod, seriously…)

DID YOU KNOW?? In the Buck Rogers TV Series (1979), Twiki was made for space mining and transportation and his name came from his alphanumeric designation, TWKE-4. But the best part was that Mel Blanc, (who also voiced Bugs Bunny,) voiced Twiki too! Actor Felix Silla portrayed Twiki in both TV show and movie… and was only 3’1″ tall!

DID YOU KNOW?? The sliding glass door in the back of the Brady house didn’t actually have glass in it! It was just put on the sliders to prevent glare while filming. Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Chris Knight, Eve Plum, and Susan Olsen dated each other while filming the show. (Not all the same time, yo.) In the 1970s, when The Brady Bunch first aired, networks considered it crude to show a toilet bowl on screen. “Oh, crap!”

DID YOU KNOW?? The Bluesmobile was a 1974 Dodge Monaco sedan that was prominently featured in the movie. Director John Landis claimed that the portion of the final chase sequence filmed beneath the elevated train tracks was actually filmed at the speed indicated on the car’s speedometer! Real police officers participated, the stunt driving in the movie was all real, they used 13 different Bluesmobiles and more than 60 old police cars… and the movie held the record for the most cars destroyed in a movie at the time, with 103 cars wrecked!!
