THE LOOK OF LOVE_BELLA ANDRE

The first book in the Sullivan Series "The Look of Love" by Bella Andre dares you to fall in love all over again! REAL SECRETS_BOOK TRAILER

Finished! Whew...that's how I felt after completing the book trailer for my latest release "Real Secrets." I started on Wednesday and just finished it tonight (Friday). I thought it would be as simple as putting together my selected pics and music, uploading it on Youtube and tada! Hmmpph...boy was I in for a surprise. There were times when Marvelous made me walk away from the project, to eat, sleep, and breathe so that I could come back a little clearer on what I wanted to do. The key to completion of a lengthy task is perseverance.

The picture selection process was not difficult because I had pre-selected the images that I wanted. However, trying to set the background and the layout of the wording was another issue within itself. While I did not encounter difficulty with selecting my wording; I did find selecting the proper layout to be time-consuming.

The music selection did not take as long as the other parts. Finding the song that clicked with me would not be a problem in the beginning. Listening to various tunes, I dismissed one after the other as they did not speak to me or the heart and soul of my book. The problem that arose was whenever I heard a song that I liked I wanted to hear it out completely, even if it did not convey the message of the book. This of course was time consuming also. But finally, when I had my song selection just right and narrowed it down to two choices, I listened to both repeatedly. My husband talked me through the process, enabling me to dig down deep within to understand how each song related to my book and spoke to my heart.

Those minute details can really become troublesome and time consuming. When I first began to write that's all that I wanted to do. I never understood until these latter years that there was so much more to it than just writing. As I always say the writing is the easy part...it's everything else that can become tedious and mind boggling. But in the end is it worth it? A thousand times over I will say YES! YES to infinity!

REFLECTIONS OF 2012

This year brought many challenges and victories for this country, my family and my friends. I am thankful for all that has been accomplished within my immediate family and for all that we have overcome.

REFLECTIONS OF 2012: EFD- extreme financial difficulties caused my family to suffer many hardships this year. My husband's business struggled to stay open but MACOBI made it through. I lost my vehicle in a car accident during the fall of this year and our family has been making it through on one vehicle alone.NBP - new business pursuits. I launched my new writing business this year "Bleu Skies Writing Services." CAAC - Children Achievements And Challenges. The year started with my two oldest children facing many challenges at school both academically and socially. However, they took those challenges on by the horns and moved forward with a positive attitude. All three of them attained many of their goals in school and at home, and my oldest is preparing to move out the first week of January 2013 into a promising future. HEALTH - My husband faced a scary health threat this fall that was a wake up call to our entire family and friends. I lost 34 pounds this year on a Jillian Michaels program and changed my family's eating habits. GAD - Goals And Dreams. This year has been an accomplishment of goals set by my family and the pursuit of dreams. I started my blog this summer and successfully created websites for my company, my husband's company, and three clients that I took on. I've been writing fiction stories to entertain myself since I was 12 and finally published my first novel "REFLECTIONS OF PROMISES" this summer and it was released 2 days before our 9th wedding anniversary. My second novel "REAL SECRETS" was released the week before Christmas for a joyous holiday season. For more information on some of the information that I shared. Check out the links below:

BETTER DAYS

I was listening to an old song by Dianne Reeves "Better Days" when I began to reflect on my childhood. I was 14 when this song came out and it always made me think of my grandmothers. These beautiful, strong women were an integral part of my life; shaping and molding me into the young woman that I became and the woman that I would become. My grandmothers were both women of great faith, spiritual and mental strength and victors of overcoming extreme adversity in life. Both were widowed women left to raise their families the best way that they knew how. My paternal grandmother passed away when I was only 12 and hearing this song would often leave me missing her. My maternal grandmother is still alive and I'm blessed to have her as a part of my life today.

My paternal grandmother always baked the best biscuits from scratch, and by His divine grace I have been blessed with that gift also. Although mine are not as good as hers were...yet. She taught me those old Southern ways of being silent while God performs His work (e.g., lightning storms).

My maternal grandmother taught me the power of prayer and how to be a lady. She has shown me how to talk to my Heavenly Father at anytime of the day and build a relationship with Him. She was responsible for taking me on my first trip to visit the ocean when I was a little girl down in Brunswick, GA.

Whenever I listen to this song I reflect on the memories I have of both women and the words of wisdom they would share to empower me in life. They would both encourage me that tomorrow is a brand new day and that it would bring fresh hope and promises for something better. I am so thankful for these beautiful women and so thankful for this song that brings back fond memories. Enjoy.

Gathering around the tree, exchanging gifts, tearing off ribbon and bows, and tearing into the wrapping...these are just some of the fun elements of Christmas. Carving the turkey; scooping out layers of ooozzzyy, cheesy, macaroni-n-cheese; savory dressing, yummy cakes, delectable pies, and sugary cookies, these are just some of the other wonderful elements of Christmas.

Christmas is celebrating my Savior Jesus Christ and the wonderful gift of salvation that we have. Christmas is love, loving our family, friends, and this blessed life that we have been given. Christmas is sharing our blessings with others less fortunate and with those equally if not more fortunate. Christmas is caring for one another and displaying a compassionate attitude. It is singing Christmas songs and carols, watching Christmas movies, driving around town to see beautiful Christmas lights and decorations. 
It's sharing fun and love with our family and friends. Baking desserts to share with family, friends, and neighbors.
