Second Verse won a Gold 2013 Moonbeam Children's Book Award!
I am excited to announce that Second Verse won a 2013 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award! It won the Gold Medal in its category: Young Adult Fiction - Horror/Mystery

SECOND VERSE Book Launch Recap!
The SECOND VERSE Book Launch was last night at WORDS Bookstore in Maplewood. What an amazingly fun night! I am so incredibly grateful for the support for this event. We had about 60 people there. (Holy wow!) Here are a few pics of the event. I'll add more as I get them. I know I took pics with a lot of people, hopefully copies of those will trickle in. Much of the night was a whirlwind, but it was so much fun! The bookstore ran out of books - yay! Oh, and signing books is pretty much the most fun thing ever, I think.:)

Yummy! Never mind that the icing turned people's teeth purple!
My mommy and I! Yes, she is wearing a super cool Second Verse tee shirt. Isn't it awesome? I wish I got a picture of the back, which is even cooler. Also, I must admit, I am not that tall. I was wearing gigantic heels. I am giggling over the fact that I actually look tall in these pictures.
My dear writing friend Shveta, along with my super nice editor, Tracy, had an absolutely fantastic purse made out of my book! It doesn't just LOOK like my book, it is actually made out of my book. The internet is full of such fun and creative gifts.

Book arrival!:)

Squeeee! I knew the day was coming, as release date is only a little over a (gulp) week away, after all. But still, when the box arrived and I opened it, I could hardly believe they were HERE, like as in, in existence.:)
