Finn Fun 2016

Another Tori this weekend, this time held at the VFW hall on Rt 12 in Fitzwilliam NH.

The hours are from 9 am to 2 pm and I will have a table filled, very briefly, with copies of Huntsman and Dagger, books One and Two of The Hunted Mage Trilogy.

I say briefly because last time I sold all I had, so move fast! I suggest a run on my table at 10ish to snatch them all up for Christmas and Hanukkah gifts.(It’s never too early!)

Here’s a link to a page with some of the other craftsfolk that will be...

Going to try selling some books…

There’s a Tori happening next week…a Finnish market.

As my books are set in Finland AD 1019, I have rented a table to try to sell some books next Sunday.

I had some good sales last time I went in 2014 and now there is Book the Second: DAGGER available so…with a super quiet weekend at the hotel, I, at my lovely Bride’s urging, will attend and put on my salesman’s hat.

We had a fun time at the last Tori and this one has 2 things that make it fun:

It is coupled with an antique Car Show and It i...

Some Spring time Sale…

Huntsman is available on Kindle from Amazon for $2.99 today. It is also onsale in the UK Amazon for1.99. (I thought myself a tad clever for actually finding the symbol for the British pound up there. Never found that before!)

My sister texted me and told me that my 14-year-old niece just finished Huntsman and cried out for their copy of Dagger which, sadly, deployed with my brother-in-law into parts unmentionable due toOperational Security restrictions.

Yes…my second book may be on a secret mi...

“Extra-Sensatory Perspiration”

“Call it… Uh, a fifth sense. Call it a flash of intermission, but I just got this feeling deep down in the heart of my bottom…”

~ Ernest P. Worrell in ‘Ernest Saves Christmas’

Here in the North East, we have notgotten anysubstantial snowfall this season. I, personally, can take it or leave it, but I know the skiing industry in my area needed it. And also, my daughter, who was actively praying for blizzards, cannot live without it.

Here I will depart from the norm on my blog-stylings and talk...

Update on Huntsman Promo and Dagger release…

Due to everyone’s support, Huntsman is #9 in theKindle Historic Fantasysection under Top 100 Free e-books!

If you go a step more specific into Historic Fantasy/ Myths & Legends/Norse & VikingHuntsman is #6!

Many thanks to everyone who has shared my news to family & friends. Having their books seen by as many people as possible is crucial to self-published authors. That and getting James Earl Jones to call back about reading the Audio Book for me…he’s so darn busy!

HUNTSMAN is still available...

Reflections on Victory

So…if anyone ever asks you: “What do you think it’s like to self-publish your own books?” you can refer them to this article!

It feels just like this:

: [Both are overcome by exhaustion] Do you remember the Shire, Mr. Frodo? It’ll be spring soon. And the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they’ll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields… and eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?

Well, this hasn’t gone the way I envisioned…

My plans went as I wanted but there is a glitch…

My files are still ‘in review’. I not sure what that means fully or how they review. Is it people or computer ‘reviewing’ my files?

I sorta feel like this:

I just don’t remember Huntsman taking this long to review.

Perhaps it’s just the size of Book 2. It IS a bigger story, some more characters introduced, additional conflict.

So, it was, in fact, launched today! I promise! If everyone collectively cheers for my book ‘switch flippers’ it may s...

Dagger for Paperback!

I am almost there! And I MEAN IT this time.

Dagger: Book Two of The Hunted Mage Trilogy is poised for publication. I have a few double-checks to perform this weekend and then…

December 7th…LAUNCHED!

At least in paperback.

The Kindle, Nook and Apple versions will follow in a few days as I perform the tweaking and changes that allow the document to upload onto those sales sites.

My goal for e-book formats is December 11th.

It is always a struggle to birth these ‘Word Babies’ into the world:

Lo...

A Zombie Horde, The Sin of Omission and my Stupid Worst Self!

I have to recount my day off yesterday. “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

I am totally ripping that off of you Dickens…you’ve used it long enough and rarely has a saying so aptly described a day for me.

In three parts, I will describe my day and I will do so in order of least important first.

PART 1: The Potential Zombie Outbreak:

My wife, daughter and I drove from Northern New Hampshire to Boston to attend our niece’s Commencement Ceremony. I am still not sure what she...

Darn, Darney Darn! or (How I still haven’t gotten my Book 2 published!)

I have had a super crappy winter, Ladies and Gents.

DAGGER, Book 2 of The Hunted Mage Trilogy, has NOT launched yet. I am pretty depressed about my lack of progress with my last set of line-by-line revisions.

There’s a lot of words to corral in Book the Second and they have been around for a long time. (I had to split things up into smaller volumes to make publishing possible way back when I had an agent stringing me along, so much of book 2 was already written.)

So when I do my proofing, wor...
