why she a chose black doll

This 2-yr-old girl had to defend to a cashier why she a chose black doll. The cashier prodded her to get a white doll instead. We know from countless studies that racism is taught. Kudos to this young, articulate girl for seeing what really matters. Maybe the cashier learned something.

Doris Day

Doris Day just realized she’s turning 95, not 93. Imagine if you suddenly “lost” 2 years off your life?

Residents in San Diego

Tragic. Residents in San Diego are so afraid that they only report 1 in 4 gunshots. They’re terrified to get involved. I think it’s a good thing technology can look out for them.

This fascinating article explains – with cool interactive features – how Uber uses game-style bonuses and goals to motivate drivers to drive more. Is this a good thing?

Capron Park zoo

What a beautiful day! My zoo series narrator is already finished with book 3 so I needed to get another zoo visit in, to stay ahead of her. Luckily my son, his girlfriend, and Bob See agreed to take a jaunt down to the Capron Park zoo. The weather was lovely and the animals were enjoying the warmth! The trio all had some great ideas for my story, too. This will be book #8 in that series.
