Sneak Peek Sunday-1 Day Late
Six-Paragraph, Sneak Peek Sunday - April 14, 2013

The Mogul’s Reluctant Bride - Book Two
Billionaire Brides of Granite Falls Series
He was fully awake. She could feel the change in the tensing of his body. Uncertain of what to do, Kaya held her breath and merely stared back at him as the air around them became so charged, it crackled. She had trespassed into his private world. A world he allowed no one into. There would be consequences.
His gaze slid lazily to her mouth. He raised one hand and brushed his knuckles across her cheek, ever so lightly it sent shivers down her spine. The gold wedding band on his finger flashed in the firelight, reminding Kaya that she did have the right to trespass. He rubbed the pad of his thumb across her lips as if testing their subtlety. The act was erotically simple.
Kaya swallowed, making a loud gulping sound. “You... you were hav... having a nigh—”
“Shh.” One hand at her neck and shoulders eased her closer. He took her face in the other and held it gently. While his fingers tangled in her messy curls, his thumb caressed her cheeks, her chin, the perimeter of her mouth. His eyes held hers captive as he hesitated, waiting for a sign of resistance.
He always gave her time to back out, except on their wedding night. She’d rejected him then. Was he waiting to spare himself another rejection? She wouldn’t put him through that again, not after what Michelle and Libby had told her. She had to start taking care of her man like he was taking care of her.
Kaya touched his cheek, liking the feel of his early morning stubble and remembering how the tingling sensation had brought her to an orgasm over a month ago. She remembered thinking how awesomely tantalizing morning sex with him would be. She just didn’t know that it would be their first time together. Yes, Kaya realized with infinite clarity, she would make love with her husband. Now. No man had ever treated her as kindly and respectfully as Bryce. She trusted him, and she hoped that by giving herself completely to him, she would free his soul from the nightmares that plagued it.

Rumor Has It
What some of my Beta Readers are saying about The Mogul's Reluctant Bride:
* I just finished reading the 1st part of the book. I loved the plot. I liked the fact that they were attracted to each other but fighting it. Glad to know Kaya didn't just jump into bed with Bryce. I can understand the family’s pain. I see a lot of my daughter in Alyssa. She lost her Dad at 4yrs old. It felt so real to me that I had to stop for a min to cry. Please don't change anything about the book. It has a realness about it that reads like a movie script. Oh and by the way, the heat level was JUST RIGHT! Not too Hot but just the right pace. I hope this helps.
*OMG! I'm hooked. I'm being totally honest with you, this story flows wonderfully and I loved the scene later after the funeral service. I did yell one time to have sex already and I called Jack a jackass way before you did. Can't wait for the rest - either as a beta reader or as a purchase on my Kindle. I will definitely be adding this to my collection.
*I'm on chapter 3, and I'm loving everything so far! The nipple part is soooo good! I was smiling while he was explaining the texture of nipples! He's a smooth operator! I enjoyed what you have written so far, immensely! I was spellbound the entire time. I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you again for the privilege!
*I spent the day reading the book, and I had a hard time putting it down. I can't wait until the book comes out. I've told all my friends they have to read this book. Thank you for the opportunity to be a Beta Reader. If you would like me to read more, I would be honored.
Thank you so much, ladies. You are my inspiration!
Fondly,
Ana

Our Children
From the Heart of a Teacher:
In the wake of the school-shooting tragedy in Connecticut, yesterday, I took a moment to ponder on my reaction if I were one of the parents filled with anxiety, fear, dread, and hope, who rushed to the school only to be told that my child was dead. I thought about the spouses, the parents, the children, the lovers, sisters, brothers, friends of the adults who were never going back home.
I thought about my daughter, (my only child) rushing to the school, only to be told that her mother (a single mother) was among the dead.
The horror of that moment broke me. I wept.
I wept because I work closely with fellow educators--some of whom have become close friends. I love my students, and everyday I encounter their smiles, their joys, their tears, their pains and hurts. To think of any of us experiencing such a catastrophe, breaks my heart.
We must make the most of LIFE everyday. And as I write this post, my eyes wander up to the wall above my desk where I keep my post-it notes, to-do list, bursts of inspirations and information regarding my stories. On that bulletin are two very important notes my daughter slipped in a while ago.
Click the link to my website, and scroll down to view the notes. www.anaeross.com
Now, my daughter is 22 years old, yet she needs to feel my arms around her, my lips against her cheek everyday. She still needs me to walk into her bedroom and kiss her sleeping face before I leave for work in the morning. Sometimes she asks me to tuck her in at nights, and sometimes she tucks me in. She needs me to tell her, every single day that I love her. And I do.
Our children are never too old to need our love and affection. We must love them every moment of every day. Life is precarious. It used to be "Here today, gone tomorrow." It's now "Here today, gone today".
Have you hugged your child today? Have you told him or her that you love him or her?
What are you waiting for? Go do it now! Go call them now! Stick a note on your wall to remind you to hug them, to kiss them, to love them everyday!
Brokenhearted,
Ana
