I grew up in a creaky old colonial house in Connecticut that just might’ve been haunted. As a kid, I was a choirboy in a church that was built in 1754. I also pounded out stories on a black Remington typewriter until I sold my first magazine article at age 19.

Since then, I've written numerous novels, novellas, and short stories. My work has been praised by Booklist, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, RT Book Reviews, and Kirkus Reviews.

When I’m not writing, I bike and hike the Colorado Rockies, explore ghost towns and wrench on classic cars. But the whole time, I’m usually thinking about the book I’m going to write next.

I'm so excited about where these characters are heading that I honestly feel like I can't write it fast enough.

It builds on so many mysteries, and it answers the burning question that absolutely everyone will be asking at the end of the first book. But that's just the beginning.

At the same time, the second book opens up Dru’s universe (or the “Druniverse” as I like to call it) in crazy new ways. New magic, new creatures, new challenges, and new secrets that will quite literally rock the world. (less)

Also, for more Dru adventures available now as ebooks, check out the prequel stories (Magic Carpet Ride, Put a Spell on You).

If you haven't read Magic Carpet Ride yet, just let me know and I'd be delighted to send you a copy as my gift.

Thanks for sharing Dru’s journey! :)(less)

This Solomon Kane novelization is so riveting that it has nearly ruined Robert E. Howard for me. Don't get me wrong, Howard is still one of my favorite pulp writers, but this book takes the venerable Solomon Kane character to a fantastic new level.
