Ms. Brandt is proud to present The Line, and the additional novels in the complete series, A Fine Line, Keeping in Line, and The Line Up (available individually, or as a complete Anthology). Each of the lighthearted novels was created for high school students and alumni in marching band. As a former drumline member, Courtney enjoys bringing a fictional voice to band geeks all over the world and is patiently waiting for Hollywood to wake up and realize her books would make great (and financially successful) films or television series!

Courtney was proud to announce the release of her next book, Confessions of A Teenage Band Geek in Fall 2011 and her final YA marching novel, Major Pain, in the fall of 2012. She also is the sole manager of the

Confessions takes place independently after the Line series (when you go back and read the Line, you might recognize a character or two showing up in Julia's world). Major Pain is another stand alone novel where I include a cameo from The Line group.

I'm so glad you enjoyed my book!

Just for the record:

2. A Fine Line

Guess who’s back, back again?

So, I’ve been a wee bit busy since we last checked in.

2nd, draft of Under the Rain of Light.  In it I went from 77,727 words to 77,361.  This sounds so unbelievably minor, but I changed the order of chapters, added and removed plot lines and made countless other changes.

Spoiler alert, I still hate the book, which is why…
I’m going to work with a developmental editor.... Read more of this blog post »

Perhaps a bit overwritten, but I enjoyed this story all the same. The hero and heroine were both quite likable, as was their story and the supporting cast. Based on this novel, I would check out other books by this author (or books in this series).

“And who exactly are you supposed to be, the Queen of England?”
Courtney Brandt, The Queen of England: Coronation

“My station has barely recovered from the massacre, and we have not held my formal coronation, not to mention the fact I am only eighteen years of age and have no parent present. How on earth do people expect me to find a husband in all of this nonsense?”
Courtney Brandt, The Queen of England: Coronation

“At that idea, I grinned. Queen of England. Single mother. What would my opposition say about that?”
Courtney Brandt, The Queen of England: Grand Tour

“Sophomore Lucy Karate took a deep breath and concentrated her moss green eyes on the black squiggles in front of her. The sheet music on the page was exactly the same it had been for the past ten months. The difference wasn’t the music; it was the day. This was the day before auditions – her last opportunity to practice before her fate for the next school year was ultimately decided.”
