Charlie Kirk, Thomas Jefferson and godless violence

Charlie Kirk

If you have to resort to violence, you’ve lost the debate. The assassination of Charlie Kirk two weeks ago was a case in point. They couldn’t defeat him at debate, so they killed him.

Charlie’s slogan, as seen on the white tent he was in when he was shot, says it all: “Prove me wrong.” Anybody who may claim he was “proved wrong” by being shot subscribes to the view that might makes right.

I once heard about an English tourist visiting China about a 100 years ago who recounted how two laborers were having a heated argument in the street. After watching and listening for several minutes, the tourist remarked that he expected the two men would begin fighting any moment, but his guide replied, “I doubt it, you see, the man who strikes first admits he’s lost the argument.”

Reformer Martin Luther said: “I will preach, speak, write the truth, but will force it on no one, for faith must be accepted willingly, and without compulsion.” Also, he said about those who light the wooden sticks to burn heretics at the stake: “If fire is the right cure for heresy, then the [stick]-burners are the most learned doctors on Earth; no need we study anymore; he that has brute force on his side may burn his adversary at the stake.”

Resorting to violence to ensure conformity is an act of tyranny. The Christian worldview condemns violence. Not that Christians have always lived up to that.

For example, in 1777, Thomas Jefferson wrote a very important act on behalf of religious freedom. It was adopted in 1786 when he was in France. It is the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.

He basically argues that Jesus, “the holy author of our religion,” has given us the freedom to accept or reject Him. Who then is the government to try and force religious conformity? It simply produces hypocrites.

Jefferson pens, “Almighty God hath created the mind free, and … all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments, or burdens, or by civil incapacitations, tend only to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and are a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, who being Lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do, but to extend it by its influence on reason alone.”

His argument is predicated on the notion that Jesus is divine. It is also predicated on the notion that God has given people free will. If the state tries to impose religious conformity, that involves the threat of violence.

Of course, we’ve seen in the last 200 years numerous instances of godless states, like the French Revolutionaries or the Communists, use violence to suppress religious or dissident opinions – killing millions in the process.

The late Paul Johnson notes in”“Modern Times” (1983), the 20th century totalitarian state has proved to be the greatest killer of all time. In his book, “The Quest for God” (1996), he calls these governments, like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union, “godless constructs.”

Why allow open debate, when a bullet will do?

In the above-mentioned act, Jefferson asseverates: “Truth is great and will prevail if left to herself; that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate; errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.” [emphasis added]

“Prove me wrong,” argued Charlie Kirk. His leftist critics could not, so one of their own resorted to violence. The alleged killer wrote in a text to his trans-lover: “Why did I do it? I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

So Charlie Kirk was an inveterate hater, and, therefore, he deserved to die. Tragically, this kind of thinking prevails among many young people today. They have rejected a Judeo-Christian viewpoint and have embraced meaninglessness (nihilism) as the meaning of life. And if there is no meaning, power prevails. We see the results.

What a different reaction we see in the act of the widow of Charlie, Erika Kirk, telling the world that she forgives the shooter. Trying to emulate the Savior, who said from the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do,” she forgave Charlie’s assassin.

Dr. Richard Land, president emeritus of Southern Evangelical Seminary, once commented: “Americans must always reject the resort to violence in pursuit of political goals. It is literally ‘un-American’ to engage in, or resort to, violent disregard of the law. This is not a question of conservative versus liberal or Democrat versus Republican. This is right versus wrong.”

Democrats hold a weaker hand, but it still has an ace

U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. (Video screenshot)

As Washington convulses into yet another budget drama, Democrats are busily assembling their “Washington Monument Game.”

That’s when they threaten to shut down the government and deny access to popular attractions if the Republicans won’t go along with a budget bill that funds the Democrats’ Free Stuff Army.

The most important card they have in the game is their ace – the media – who reflexively cast Republicans as evil schemers plotting to kick Grandma over a cliff and onto a drifting iceberg.

If this were a football game, the referees would be wearing donkey masks and issuing absurd penalties on the elephants.

However, this scenario didn’t work so well in March. In the face of cutbacks engineered by the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency, Sen. Chuck Schumer, New York Democrat, reluctantly voted for the GOP’s seven-month funding bill.

It’s difficult to play hardball when the Republicans control federal agencies and won’t block off the Washington Monument and Bryce Canyon or delay Social Security checks.

The minority leader said he didn’t want to give Musk’s bureaucracy-slashing whiz kids an excuse to cut even more. The Democrats’ left wing exploded, threatening to replace Mr. Schumer with someone like, say, Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s. Mr. Greenfield resigned from the ice cream maker in a huff on Sept. 16 over parent company Unilever stuffing his commie views. So, he’s available.

In any case, Democrats are again threatening to filibuster a stopgap funding bill. Mr. Schumer says Republicans will be blamed for the fallout (see any media coverage of government shutdowns).

Democrats also want to change the news narrative. They and their media have been trying to convince Americans that the political violence epitomized by the Sept. 10 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has no pattern.

Both sides do it, they insist, as the media bury the stark, contradictory evidence.

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel floated the lie that the leftist, gay suspect in Mr. Kirk’s killing whose partner is a male transitioning to female, was part of the MAGA movement. Amazingly, ABC suspended Mr. Kimmel’s show, at least for now.

The Washington Post front page headline on Sept. 18 proclaimed that “Kimmel’s suspension raises fears of new censorship era.” A gaggle of Post writers denounced the “right-wing campaign to shut down perceived detractors” of Mr. Kirk. Perceived?

As far as the budget bill, Mr. Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, his fellow New Yorker, are demanding that the GOP bend to their policy demands.

The measure must pass by Sept. 30 or the federal government allegedly won’t be able to pay its bills and will flop around like a stranded whale on a beach.

The Democrat leaders’ newfound resolve might have something to do with developments in New York. Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, the fast-rising Bolshevik ingenue, has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Mr. Schumer, who faces re-election in 2028.

Also, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, whom Politico calls a “moderate,” has endorsed Zohran Mamdani for mayor. He’s an anti-Israel, Islamic socialist who has advocated the communist goal of “seizing the means of production.”

New York City is still America’s financial capital, but left-wing politicians are driving out its most lucrative taxpayers, who provide 40 percent of the city’s budget.

“New York’s share of the nation’s millionaires plummeted 31 percent between 2010 and 2022,” according to the non-partisan Citizens Budget Committee. The exodus to places like Florida and Texas cost the state and city more than $13 billion in revenue in 2022.

Mr. Mamdani has proposed a “millionaire’s tax” that would bring the total city, state and federal tax bill for millionaires to nearly 54 percent, according to economist Peter C. Earle, writing in The Epoch Times.

“That is not just taxation; it is confiscation,” Mr. Earle says.

Some Republican strategists are giddy over the possibility of campaigning against a Democratic Party that has Mr. Mamdani as its poster boy. They will force Democrats from Bangor to Scottsdale to go on record about him.

So far, Sen. Schumer and Rep. Jeffries have not endorsed Mr. Mamdani. Sen. Chris Van Hollen, Maryland Democrat, has called them “spineless.”

And, without an ounce of irony, Mr. Van Hollen introduced the “No Political Enemies Act,” saying, “You can’t use government power to punish people you disagree with.”

He did so after FCC Chairman Brendan Carr leaned on Disney/ABC over Kimmel’s remarks.

Bully for Mr. Van Hollen. If brazen lies are not protected speech, most of the networks would be out of business.

The problem is the selective outrage. Mr. Van Hollen wasn’t remotely concerned when President Barack Obama weaponized the IRS and intelligence agencies against conservatives and invented the treasonous Russian collusion hoax against President Donald Trump.

Or when Democrats strong-armed social media to censor conservatives while leftist mobs attacked conservative speakers on campuses.

On the day of Mr. Kirk’s murder, President Trump said:

“For years, those on the Radical Left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”

On cue, the media accused him of fomenting division.

The left was born in bloodshed – and not much has changed

The left was born in the bloodshed of the French Revolution. The crimson tide has run wide and deep ever since.

Those riding the tide have included Jacobins, Bolsheviks, National Socialists, Maoists, Black Lives Matter incendiaries, Antifa thugs and gender-ideology hit men.

Among its victims, over the course of 236 years, are aristocrats, Christians, Jews, bourgeoisie, kulaks, intellectuals, dissidents and conservative hero Charlie Kirk.

Our culture of violence was shaped by the revolutionary left, which has infiltrated every aspect of society, including higher education and entertainment.

According to a 2024 survey by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, 25% of liberal college students approve of violence to stop conservatives from speaking on campus.

Only 55% of Gen Z believe political violence is never acceptable, compared with 93% of baby boomers and 86% of Gen X. In a 2024 Rasmussen survey, 28% of Democrats said America would have been better off if President Trump had died by an assassin’s bullet. Another 24% said they were unsure.

Those celebrating Kirk’s demise include professors, teachers, physicians, airline pilots, elected officials and even a U.S. Army colonel, since relieved of duty. Can you imagine anyone in a position of authority in 1963 applauding the assassination of President Kennedy?

Leftist violence is an almost daily occurrence. The death toll includes law enforcement, business leaders and prominent conservatives. New Left philosopher Herbert Marcuse taught a generation of activists that silencing so-called oppressors was justified in the name of the fight for equality.

When the Supreme Court was deliberating on reversing Roe v. Wade, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer warned justices that if they did so, they would “release the whirlwind” and “pay the price.” This was followed by weeks of illegal demonstrations at the homes of conservative justices and an attempt to assassinate Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Most Democratic politicians condoned the rioting after the death of George Floyd in 2020, including Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and then-Sen. Kamala Harris, whose staff set up a bail fund for rioters.

Black Lives Matter organized the arson and looting. Patrisse Cullors, one of its co-founders, described herself as a “trained Marxist.” She was recruited to the cause by Eric Mann, a former member of the terrorist Weather Underground.

Tyler Robinson, charged with killing Kirk, is the latest link in a chain stretching back to the Reign of Terror. Messages on his rifle and bullet casings include Bella Ciao, a slogan adopted by Antifa, along with the word “fascist.” Antifa’s latest campaign is assaulting immigration enforcement agents.

Antifa is a contraction of anti-fascist. If you disagree with it on race, sexuality or immigration, you are a Nazi, and they have carte blanche to attack you. They sent independent journalist Andy Ngo to the hospital for exposing their tactics. Mr. Trump just announced he will designate Antifa as a major terrorist organization.

Last week, an activist judge dismissed terrorism charges against Luigi Mangione, charged with murder in the death of health care CEO Brian Thompson. Like Robinson, Mangione is part of the left-wing assassination culture.

According to indictments, Robinson killed Kirk for his views on transgenderism and Mangione killed Thompson to strike a blow against the health care industry.

Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer once observed: “To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.”

What do you do with someone you think is stupid? If you’re Charlie Kirk, you try to educate them.

What do you do with someone you consider evil? You send them to the guillotine. You put them against the wall. You stick them in a gulag or death camp. You shoot them in the neck with a high-powered rifle.

The left’s utopian vision can be realized only with bloodshed. It asks us to give up our property, our families, our faith and our freedom for a classless society.

For the envious, the malicious and those desperate to merge their identity with a cause, that may work. In certain circumstances it may even work with a majority – for a time.

Eventually, however, reason will prevail. People will get tired of being robbed, starved and beaten. That’s why violence is necessary to build the workers’ paradise – that and free bus service – and violence is needed to maintain it.

The building process includes dealing with counterrevolutionaries by any means necessary.

Even legacy media admit it: Left-wing violence is out of control

The Atlantic admitted on Tuesday that left-wing violence has spiraled out of control since President Donald Trump entered the political realm in 2016.

The outlet compiled a data set of 750 attacks between Jan. 1, 1994, to July 4, 2025, and found that left-wing terror attacks are currently outnumbering violence coming from the political right. By July 4, far-left extremists accounted for five terrorist attacks or attempted attacks, which puts 2025 on pace to be the most violent year for the political left in over 30 years.

“[President Donald] Trump’s political ascent and the expansion of the MAGA movement seem to have reenergized left-wing violent extremism, which accounted for 37 incidents from 2016 to 2024, most of them motivated by either anti-government or partisan sentiment. By July 4 of this year, far-left extremists had already been responsible for five terrorist attacks and plots, putting 2025 on pace to be the left’s most violent year in more than three decades,” The Atlantic wrote.

While left-wing violence is on the rise, right-wing terror attacks have been on the decline, The Atlantic reported. The only right-wing terror attack committed in 2025 was the assassination of Democratic state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband in June.

During former President Barack Obama’s presidency, right-wing terrorism accounted for 106 attacks and plots, The Atlantic reported. President Donald Trump’s rise to political power marked a drastic change by prompting more left-wing terror attacks.

Trump faced two assassination attempts on his life on July 13, 2024, and Sept. 15, 2024. The first occurred when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks allegedly fired several rounds into the crowd of a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, causing Trump to suffer a bullet wound in his upper ear. The second attempted happened at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, when the alleged would-be assassin Ryan Routh attempted to shoot Trump with an AK-47-style rifle before being spotted by Secret Service agents. A jury convicted Routh on Tuesday on all five counts in connection to the attempted assassination.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk died from a bullet wound to the neck on Sept. 10 after 22-year-old Tyler Robinson allegedly shot him from a rooftop located about 200 yards away. The alleged assassin’s parents told authorities that their son had subscribed to left-wing ideology and had become “more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented,” Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray said on Sept. 16.

Robinson was in a relationship with a trans-identifying male named Lance Twiggs and was fixated on pornographic furry culture. A relative of Twiggs said that the trans-identifying man reportedly “hates conservatives and Christians,” according to the New York Post.

Violent incidents and murders involving transgender individuals have been on the rise in recent years, despite trans-identifying adults making up less than 1% of the U.S. population. In August, a trans-identifying man named Robin Westman allegedly opened fire through the stained glass windows of Annunciation Catholic Church and killed two students while they were attending Mass.

New documents have revealed that Nicholas Roske, the alleged would-be assassin of Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, identifies as transgender.

‘Really menacing’: Kristi Noem reacts to chilling tweet from Newsom’s press office that threatened her and ‘panicked’ her family

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem exploded in outrage over a cryptic and “menacing” tweet issued by California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office this past weekend.

“Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today. You’re welcome, America.”

Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today.

You’re welcome, America.

— Governor Newsom Press Office (@GovPressOffice) September 20, 2025

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at DHS, blasted Newsom’s team for crossing the line into dangerous rhetoric.

McLaughlin wrote on X:

“This reads like a threat. This is ugly, @GavinNewsom. Your keyboard warrior team may hide behind their laptops and spew this kind of vitriol, but you would never have the guts to say this to her face.”

Acting U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli quickly stepped in, making it clear that threats, whether veiled or direct, against senior government officials will not be tolerated.

Essayli announced:

“We have zero tolerance for direct or implicit threats against government officials. I’ve referred this matter to @SecretService and requested a full threat assessment.”

Just hours later, Newsom’s office scrambled to walk back the narrative, posting a follow-up tweet trying to reframe their message:

“TODAY: Governor Newsom signs a historic legislation package to protect immigrant communities, hold Trump accountable.”

— Governor Newsom Press Office (@GovPressOffice) September 20, 2025

Newsom’s press office has defended itself, characterizing the outrage as overblown political theater.

They have claimed their message was made in the context of new immigration legislation.

Kristi Noem:
“Well, it was cryptic, and it was really menacing. I would say, Sean, it immediately panicked my family and friends. Within, I would say, a couple of minutes of that being posted, I started to get text messages and phone calls—family, my kids—saying, “Are you okay, Mom? Are you fine?” They know the threats that I’ve had.

They know the threats that they’ve had, the things that have happened to them because of politicians like this that say things, and then somebody with an agenda—like the cartels and criminals who have already threatened our family—grabs onto them.

When you get a post like that by a governor, immediately my staff and family think, What is going on? What does he mean? We’re trying to figure it out. This is a day and age where we’ve always known that words matter, but now we’ve realized there are real consequences—things that have happened to incredible people like Charlie—that we’ll have to live with forever.

I hope we all learn from that. I hope we all learn that it’s time to start listening to each other, having civil discussions, and stopping ridiculous, irresponsible posts like the one Governor Newsom put out there.”

‘We stand by that decision’: Nexstar, Sinclair will keep Jimmy Kimmel show OFF AIR

Jimmy Kimmel (Video screenshot)Jimmy Kimmel (Video screenshot)Jimmy Kimmel

(The Center Square) – ABC is bringing back “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” but some stations won’t carry the program after the host’s controversial remarks about activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Nexstar Media Group Inc. announced Tuesday the company’s owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will continue to preempt Kimmel’s show.

“We made a decision last week to preempt ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ following what ABC referred to as Mr. Kimmel’s ‘ill-timed and insensitive‘ comments at a critical time in our national discourse,“ the company said in a statement. “We stand by that decision pending assurance that all parties are committed to fostering an environment of respectful, constructive dialogue in the markets we serve.”

Sinclair made a similar decision.

“Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘ across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming,“ the broadcaster said in a statement. “Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.”

The Walt Disney Company announced Monday it will air “Jimmy Kimmel Live!“ again Tuesday night.

Disney executives said they decided to return after “thoughtful conversations“ with Kimmel.

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive,“ according to a company memo.

Unions representing writers and actors, including the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, condemned Disney’s decision to pull Kimmel.

Other late-night hosts and celebrities, including David Letterman, Rosie O’Donnell, Jon Stewart, and John Oliver, also condemned the network’s suspension of Kimmel.

“The decision to suspend airing Jimmy Kimmel Live! is the type of suppression and retaliation that endangers everyone’s freedoms,“ the union said. “SAG-AFTRA stands with all media artists and defends their right to express their diverse points of view, and everyone’s right to hear them.”

On Monday, Kimmel opened the show with a monologue that compared Trump’s mourning of Kirk to “the way a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish.“

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,“ Kimmel said in his monologue.

An assassin shot and killed Kirk, a close ally of Trump, during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Trump said his son, Don, told him, “He’s sort of like a son to you.“ Vice President J.D. Vance took Kirk’s casket on Air Force Two to his home state of Arizona.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr said on Benny Johnson’s show that Kimmel’s comments were “some of the sickest.”

“One of the most significant newsworthy public interest acts that we’ve seen in a long time in what appears to be an action by Jimmy Kimmel to play into that narrative that this was somehow a MAGA or a Republican-motivated person,“ Carr told the host.

The accused assassin told his transgender roommate, “I had had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out,” before climbing a rooftop to shoot Kirk during a speaking event at the college.

Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith previously said the government must intervene.

“We appreciate FCC Chairman Carr’s remarks today and this incident highlights the critical need for the FCC to take immediate regulatory action to address control held over local broadcasters by the big national networks.”

Sinclair also called for Kimmel to apologize to the Kirk family and “make a meaningful personal donation to the Kirk Family and Turning Point USA.”

‘A paper tiger’: Trump says Ukraine could get ALL its land back from Russia

(Official White House photo by Andrea Hanks)U.S. President Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine greet European leaders in the State Dining Room, Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, before their multilateral meeting. (Official White House photo by Andrea Hanks)

After a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky in New York Tuesday, President Trump posted that the embattled nation “is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form” and “maybe even go further than that!”

Trump also endorsed the ongoing arrangement whereby the U.S. sells weaponry for the war to NATO, which then sells it Ukraine.

Posted Trump on Truth Social:

“After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form.

“With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like ‘a paper tiger.’

“When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it’s almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that!

“Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!”

FORT PIERCE, Florida – Would-be assassin Ryan Routh tried stabbing himself in the neck Tuesday after a jury found him guilty on all charges in last year’s attempted murder of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump at the Republican’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The verdict came just two hours after closing arguments Tuesday, as Routh acted as his own defense attorney on charges of attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, assaulting a federal officer, felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

“Today’s guilty verdict against would-be Trump assassin Ryan Routh illustrates the Department of Justice’s commitment to punishing those who engage in political violence,” said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on X.

“This attempted assassination was not only an attack on our President, but an affront to our very nation itself. ”

“I am grateful to @USAO_SDFL Jason Quinones, his entire trial team, and our law enforcement partners for protecting President Trump and securing this important verdict.”

Danamarie McNicholl of Fox News reported Routh tried stabbing himself in the neck upon learning the verdicts.

“It is quite shocking. As the verdict was read, it appeared to our producers inside the courtroom that Routh tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen,” said McNicholl.

“Then four marshals dragged him out of the courtroom, took his coat off, they then shackled him at the waist and ankles and then they brought him back in the courtroom.”

HOLY CRAP. After Ryan Routh was found guilty of trying to assassinate President Trump, he tried to STAB HIMSELF in the NECK “with a pen.”

President Trump reacted to the verdicts, saying on Truth Social: “Congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and the entire DOJ team on the conviction, in Florida, of the person who attempted an assassination on my life.

“The trial was meticulously handled, and I would like to thank the Judge and Jury for their time, professionalism, and patience. This was an evil man with an evil intention, and they caught him.

“I would also like to thank the Secret Service, Department of Florida Law Enforcement, and the wonderful person who spotted him running from the site of the crime, and acted by following him, and getting all information on car type and license plate to the Sheriff’s Office, IMMEDIATELY, which led to his arrest and conviction. What incredible instinct and foresight this person had – A very big moment for JUSTICE IN AMERICA!”

Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker said the message the guilty verdicts send is: “If you do this in America, you will face the consequence and it is a heavy consequence. There is a life sentence on the first count of attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate.”

“I have no doubt he will be likely serving life in jail for the rest of his life.”

Parker opined that Routh “thinks he’s the victim.”

“He just thinks the world is against him and he had the right to do what he did. In is mind, he didn’t fire a shot, so he didn’t do anything wrong.”

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 18, and Trump could potentially give a victim-impact statement in the case if he so chooses.

Jonathan Turley, constitutional law attorney at George Washington University told Fox News: “This is sort of the shortest game of Clue in history. They found him at the scene, they chased him from the scene with a weapon. He wrote that he was intending to kill the president.

“It’s pretty hard to make out any discernible or viable defense. And in some ways, the trial was as bizarre as he is. He seemed to confuse a jury of your peers as with 12 equally delusional people. That’s not what you get.”

Routh was arrested on Sept. 15, 2024, heading north on Interstate 95 in Martin County, Florida, after being spotted pointing a gun through a fence as Trump was golfing in West Palm Beach. A citizen was able to give authorities a description of the getaway vehicle, helping his capture once he left Palm Beach County.

“The guy’s a dangerous guy, there’s no two ways about it. His intention was to harm the president,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw told Will Cain of Fox News.

“It’s unfortunate in today’s environment these people are out there. Unless the temperature in this United States comes down a little bit in the political environment, we’re gonna see more of it unfortunately.”

The attempted assassination in Florida was the second against Trump in 2024, as he was struck in the ear by a bullet during a July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania,.

Is the news we hear every day actually broadcasting messages from God? The answer is an absolute yes! Find out how!
