Mark Towse is an Englishman living in Australia. He would sell his soul to the devil or anyone buying if it meant he could write full-time. Alas, he left it very late to begin this journey, penning his first story since primary school at the ripe old age of forty-five. Since then, he's been published in the likes of Flash Fiction Magazine, Cosmic Horror, Suspense Magazine, ParABnormal, The Horror Zine, Raconteur, and nearly thirty anthologies (with another ten already lined up for the next twelve months). His work has also appeared three times on The No Sleep Podcast and five of his stories are to be featured on season three of The Grey Rooms Podcast. His first collection, ‘Face the Music,’ has just been released by All Things That Matter P ...more

I'm a big fan of this type of tale, especially after just finishing my own little suburban bloodbath (with Erik Hanson). I loved the opening and how Mark is subtle with his approach to building up dread and suspension. The characters are believable, ...more

"This story is weird with a capital WEEEEEEEE.

I don't really know what I mean by that. A supposedly nice tourist town has a dark and mysterious underbelly, stumbled upon by two friends, suspicious of a new sweet shop. I'm butchering my take on the syn" Read more of this review »
