At the moment, I am deep into the second trilogy of the Blueberry Cove series (the Brides of Blueberry Cove, to follow the current Bachelors of Blueberry Cove trilogy.) But I will return to Cakes by the Cup, Alva, Dre, and the gang. I'll be sure to post all that info on my website and my FB fan page when it's been finalized. Thanks so much for the interest. Happy reading! ~ Donna (less)

Your desire to tell a story has to be the only thing that matters. Selling it later can't matter. What other writers are doing can't matter, and doesn't matter. What matters is you have a story you want to tell. To yourself. Write the book YOU want to read. Not the book you think anyone else wants to read. It has to be for you. That's it. Shut everything else out. When you have written a book THEN you can begin to focus on what is next. Until then, none of those things matter. It might never sell. No one else might ever read it. That can't matter, either. Writers need to write. They have stories inside their heads that need to get put down on paper. That's our focus. If the rest happens (and today you have a LOT of options on making that happen) then that's a wonderful, amazing thing. But I'd be writing anyway. Because I have a story I need to tell...to me. Be passionate about your story, be excited by your story, even when it struggles and fights you at every turn and you wonder why in the world did I think this was something I wanted to tell. I've written over 75 books and that happens with every.single.one. But the story wins every time, because...I have to finish telling it. I need to know what happens. How it all works out. I can always go back and rework it, revise it, play with it...but first, I need to tell it. Focus on that, on your story, this world you're creating, enjoy the process enjoy figuring it out. It's such a rewarding, intensely personal thing to do. If that ends up creating something that others get excited about, too, fantastic. But for now...it's all for you. Love that. Embrace that. You're a writer. You're a storyteller. Go be one, and shut the rest of the world out until you're done and want to invite them in. (less)
