a passage about the first Star Wars story not written by George Lucas and it was a Comic Book. 

I’m assuming this was written by Archie Goodwin, who was editing the comic at the time. It’s interesting that some of the first EU books also followed the adventures of Han & Chewbacca. Also: did they really consult Mark Hamill on the plots of the book??
