It took me a bit to realize why I wasn't enjoying the first volume of The Exiles. I liked the art, I loved many of the characters, and Saladin Ahmed has been a consistently enjoyable comic writer.

Then it hit me: The plot structure is basically Time B

This book is exactly what it says on the cover. It's about a young woman who works at a call center and falls in love with a very nice bear.

I was most of the way through this book when a friend of mine corrected my understanding about this series:

Colin McKay Miller Glad you made it here, mate. Beware, Goodreads is the land where everyone insists on mostly four- and five-star ratings. I have a hard time convincing people that a three-star rating is actually a recommended book.

Most people won't read your reviews, which is a shame, because you've got a good mind and it translates to your criticism. So it is. I still like reviewing books. It takes a different level of thinking.
