How to write…or not to write?

I keep seeing articles on the internet about how to write and their opposites, how not to write. Some are full useful information, some are full of garbage, and some have a sprinkling of wise advice.

I’ve read most of them mainly as idle, passing interest in the way others do things and it got me thinking. Most of these articles proclaim their way as the best way, and even sometimes as the only way. But I have discovered that the only best way to write, is however you write.

The best way to w...

Gommy Rolls

I know, another food post. Things have been incredibly busy for me lately, but when we made these tonight to go with dinner, I thought maybe you all would enjoy them too. This recipe was one of my Gram’s, she was a fantastic cook and this recipe deserves to be shared by many. I know of no way to substitute ingredients and still have it come out the proper taste and texture. If sugar and gluten are something you need avoid, then this recipe may not be for you. However, if you want to attempt s...

Recipe for Homemade Buns

I shared a pic of dinner last night and had several requests for the recipe I use for making buns. I found the original somewhere on the internet back a while, though I can’t remember where. However, I did change it a bit, because following the original didn’t make them come out quite as nice as they do now. It was a bit of trial and error, and a few batches of buns, before I figured out the right combo to achieve the texture and softness that I wanted.

It’s a busy time of year, but sometimes I just have to pause

I haven’t blogged much lately. As those who have followed me for a bit know, this is a busy time of year for me. I have a giant, jungle of a vegetable garden to keep up with and all of the canning that goes with it. Yesterday I pulled 30 pounds of produce from it and of course all of that has to be corralled into jars and ran through the canner. There is at least that much if not more that will be ready to pick by tomorrow.

I also make all of the bread for the household by hand, which needs t...

Sometimes the world makes me sad

Actually, it has happened a lot lately. I’ve thought about blogging and then wasn’t sure what to say. Then today I was reading various new articles and made the mistake of reading the comments under them. It saddens me to see so much hate and fear in the world. While I was reading all of that, this formed in my mind so I wrote it down. Perhaps not the best poetry in the world, in fact I know it isn’t. But still, maybe it is worth reading by more than me, so I will post it here as well.

How w...

Biggest sale on books you may or may not have heard of!

Many have read these, many more have not. Some will share this because they love them, other won’t because they don’t wish to inflict my books on people they care about. On the flip side of that, if you didn’t like them, share this to your enemies! Plenty of opportunity abounds for lovers and haters alike! Here is your chance to spread the love (or torture those you feel are deserving). All of my books are on sale in one way or another, so take advantage of it since I don’t do these often. T...
