Being blood bound to Caius, a powerful and rather irritating demonborn, was never on my bucket list. Of course, neither was being a reaper or learning I’m not fully human.
In fact there are a lot things going on in my life now that weren’t on that list. Like almost having my immortal life cut short. Or finding out my unusual heritage may get me killed.
As if that wasn’t enough, it seems...

Parmesan Fish with Cheddar Biscuits
It’s recipe time! Today I’m serving up Parmesan Fish with Cheddar Biscuits. I know, I know, some of you are saying, “Ewwww, Talapia!” for reasons. Some may not like it for the taste, some may not like it because it’s supposed to be a dirty fish or some such. But, I’m feeding a family of seven on a budget. Have more money or less mouths to feed? Get another kind of white flaky fish that better suits you. Easy as that. Also, keep in mind that most of my recipes are geared toward the many mouths...

Blurb:
Sometimes the actions are worth the consequences…
I was never supposed to go to the Between. I was never supposed to fall in love with Caius. And yet, I’ve done both. Since stepping through that portal, I’ve done a lot of things I never thought I would.
Like coming fa...

Writing a Newsletter When You Know Nothing Jon Snow
[image error]
I’ve had my newsletter for quite some time now. For the most part, I think I sent one out about twice a year, if that. Mainly because I really had no idea what to do with it. I tried asking other authors with newsletters and they were happy to tell me how they did theirs, and even to make suggestions for mine. Which truly was very kind of them.
The only problem? I’ve discovered it’s a lot like how you write a book. No one way works for everyone. Before I could come to any conclusion on how...

Writer: Why You Need To Become Your Own Cheerleader #SundayBlogShare #ASMSG
Being a writer isn’t easy. Not only do you have to create, write, edit, revise, shelve, rewrite, deliberate, proof read, format, publish and promote but you also have to learn to cheer yourself on at every stage. *Gasp*.

New Covers for Dragon’s Call
If you’ve been following my blog lately, you know I’ve left the designers that I used to use for covers, interiors, and editing and have gone my own way. I’m currently in the process of redoing all of my books to my own designs and how I want them to be. I did enlist the help of my friend (and great author) Katie Jennings for the covers of my Bound books and my Raven Daughter series. She created the covers I wanted but didn’t know how to do.
However, with my Dragon’s Call covers, I wanted to...

Fantasy and the problem with Tolkien
I didn’t read Tolkien until I was well into adulthood. So it was never my base, so to speak, of the fantasy genre. I read many fantasy books before reading his. Rather than his world being the foundation of every other fantasy I read, his was merely one among many.
Painting: Sue Vincent
It has to be said that Tolkien causes problems. Quite apart from being so addictive that, once read, you are likely to go back and read the books again, you may never find anywhere quite as ric...
