Simon & Schuster has launched a self-publishing operation,Archway Publishing, contracting one of the most disreputable players in the business to run the show: Author Solutions.

The Journey of Embers

The journey of my first book, Embers at Galdrilene, began six years ago. I started writing it on notebook paper while on my lunch break at work. After a few months, I transferred it to my computer and that was when Embers underwent its first major revision. My fingers didn’t type it in word for word. By then, I was more in tune to my characters and starting to really listen to them. The story that ended up on my computer was vastly different from the one in the notebook.
