Unveiled is now available in audio!
Unveiled, book one in my Raven Daughter series is now available as an audio book! Read by the amazing Suzanne T. Fortin and the talented Zachary Johnson. You don’t want to miss how they brought this story to audio life. Here is a link to it on Audible, in case you want to listen to the sample.

Also, I have three free audio codes for the first three to ask for them. If you happen to get a code, it would be lovely if you left a review once you have finished reading.

The Glen – Flash Fiction
I saw this pic today on Facebook (a quick google search found that it’s by Donato Giancola and can be found HERE) and a tiny bit of story popped into my head. So I wrote it down. Also, procrastination. Here is my flash fiction about this pic.

Morath sat silent in the saddle as he approached Dragons Glen. The horse sloshed slowly through the water, parting the green that covered the surface. The animal kept its ears pitched forward, clearly more concerned with its footing than with location....

Mmmmm, Carrot Cake
If you ever stopped to look at the carrot cake mixes at the store, you would quickly realize that carrots are more of an afterthought in the ingredients rather than the main event. Those bits of orange in that cake, yeah, they aren’t carrots. They are carrot flavored pieces of corn syrup. If you are lucky, somewhere down by the bottom of the list, where it says “There is 2% or less of” you might find carrot powder.
I don’t know about you, but when I want carrot cake, I expect there to actuall...

Tell us a little about yourself? Perhaps something not many people know?

A kitchen appliance isn’t a proper gift…wait…what?
Around this time of year I always start seeing the articles about how a kitchen appliance or some such isn’t a proper gift for the wife. That she should be given jewelry or whatever.
Well, as a wife, I have to disagree. I don’t need or want a bunch of expensive jewelry. I have some jewelry, none of which is expensive outside of my wedding ring. And even my wedding ring isn’t something that cost a thousand dollars. Not because my husband wouldn’t get it for me if I wanted (he would move the...

She took the recipe to the grave…
As Thanksgiving neared, I saw several posts lamenting the loss of a favorite dish because the maker of the dish would never give out the recipe and took it to their grave. I understand about having family recipes and keeping them close. I also acknowledge that without the wonderful sharing of recipes, we wouldn’t have the vibrant and varied food that graces tables around the world. If recipes were never exchanged, the world of food would be pretty boring. Since it’s still the holiday season,...

Going Wide and Leaving Kindle Unlimited Behind
[image error]
2017 has been the year of changes for me. It’s the year I decided to leave the company that was designing and editing my books and go my own way. The year I learned to format. The year I joined a book set for the first time. And the year I learned more than I ever thought I would about the book world. It’s the year I also realized that Kindle Unlimited is no longer for me. I’ve been a bit ambivalent about it for a while, but during this past year, it has become increasingly apparent that K...

Small Town America, a Lovely Nest Of Corruption and Conflict of Interest
Yes, I live in a small town. It’s small enough we don’t have a single stoplight. Not a single one. But we do have a city council, or what passes for one and we are the county seat, even if cows outnumber the people. When my husband and I bought our house out here, we were looking for calm and quiet. A safe place to raise our kids.
Ironically, this is where we got our car stolen and have had vandalism from local kids. I know this happens in big cities too, it just never happened to us there.
A...
