#SnippetSunday 09.20.2020

Hello Snippet Sundayers! It’s been a long week of writing and doing the prep work for a new project. Our skies here in the central US have turned hazy from the smoke drifting this way from the west coast on the jet streams, joining the ragweed in irritating throats and sinuses everywhere. And where I am one of those feeling it, I try not to complain. What is throat and sinus irritation in the face of the devastation these fires are leaving behind? So I will suck it up, take a Benedryl, and be th...

#SnippetSunday 09.13.2020

Well, fall decided to arrive this week in a mix of rain and plummeting temperatures. Honestly, I love it. Thankfully, we didn’t get the crazy snow, just fall-type rain and highs in the  50’s. Of course now it’s warmer again, but it seems as if we left the hot summer temps behind. And so I’m celebrating the fall weather with another #SnippertSunday.

Posting again from Unveiled, the first book in my Raven Daughter series. It’s available in ebook, paperback, and audio.

We’ve jumped ahead. Jo and C...

#SnippetSunday 09.06.2020

Posting from Unveiled again this #SnippetSunday. It’s the first book in my Raven Daughter series and is available in ebook, paperback, and audio.

Last week we found Jo and Caius shifting into their bird forms in order to flee another attack by serans. This week we mostly we continue from there.

Holding my bird form was easier than I’d hoped it would be, but staying in the air was becoming more of a problem. Exhaustion seeped in around the edges of my mind. More than once I had to correct my ...

#SnippetSunday 08.30.2020

Posting from Unveiled again this #SnippetSunday. It’s the first book in my Raven Daughter series and is available in ebook, paperback, and audio.

Last Sunday found Jo and Caius as the tail end of an attack by snake-like critters, this Sunday we skip forward to the next day where we find them fed, rested, and leaving where they spent the night to continue their journey. At this point, neither one of them know quite what to make of the other. All Jo knows is despite what Caius is, she’s startin...

#SnippetSunday 08.23.2020

Once again it’s time for Snippet Sunday. This snippet is from Unveiled, the first book in my Raven Daughter series, which is available in all formats.

Last Sunday we found Jo and Caius thrown together on a journey. As is the case with most fictional journeys, things do not go smoothly.

My shield wobbled and faded as I drained the last of my power. I struggled to stand only to smack into the ground once more as a snake sank its teeth into my leg and pulled me off my feet. Sheer agony burned th...

Busy Summer

It’s been an incredibly busy summer around my place. Not only am I working full time outside the home, but I’ve also got a number of projects going on at home as well. Yes, one of those projects is writing. But, as much as I would love to just sit and write all day every day, with a family that isn’t possible nor is it the healthiest thing. Plus, I have other interests as well.

One of the biggest projects was the new chicken pen. It was time to move the older hens on and time to redo the chicken...

#SnippetSunday 08.16.2020

While I continue to work on the third and final book in this series, it’s time for another snippet of the first book, Unveiled, which is available in ebook, paperback, and audio.

In this snippet we find Jo on a journey with Caius. She took the deal, but didn’t listen to him and now for good or bad, they’ve been tossed together.

I huffed a little, working harder to keep up with him. Though he said nothing to acknowledge my struggle, he slowed enough that I didn’t feel like I needed to start j...

#SnippetSunday 08.09.2020

I’m back for another #SnippetSunday! I had a lot of fun joining in last week and getting to read all the other posts by the other authors.

Again, this week’s snippet is from Unveiled, the first book in my Raven Daughter series. It’s available in ebook, paperback, and audio.

Caius strolled into the room before I could force Mary toward the elevators. My stomach twisted. Great. Just what I needed, a petulant soul and a demonborn. I stepped in front of Mary, placing myself between them.

An am...

#SnippetSunday 08.02.2020

Joining #SnippetSunday for the first time. My WIP is Chosen, the third book in my Raven Daughter series, but my snippets are starting closer to the beginning. This is from Unveiled, the first book in the series which is already available.

Jo has only encountered Caius (Cay-us) once before and she didn’t know who, or what, he was then. Now, she does.

He dried my mouth and not because of his looks. Power exuded from him, like an invisible cloud he carried with him. I knew who this was no...

Running Behind But Getting There

This went out in my newsletter last week, but I figured I should put it here too. As many of you probably know, I started working full time at a “normal” job a couple of years ago which has put me way behind where I wanted to be right now with the release of the 3rd Raven Daughter book. Between the “normal” job, my family, and my critters, I had to figure out a whole new way to manage my time.

I admit, I floundered around quite a bit for a while there and while I was doing that, I knew one thing...
