Started as an child actor (played Barnaby, the little boy with a four flushing fairy godfather; on the TV show Mr. I-Magination; etc.). Always intended to become an astronomer, and worked for three years on the Apollo Project, followed by two years working for a planetarium manufacturer writing canned shows. 34 years as a college teacher training students to enter the planetarium field while teaching astronomy, computer management, and science fiction literature.
Since retirement author of six books on various aspects of astronomy, one time travel novel ("Time for Patriots") and two anthologies of science fiction, fantasy, satire, horror, and humor ("The Mountain of Long Eye" and "Weird Thoughts").

David Weber's five book series on human survivors of an alien attack on the chilly planet of Safehold concludes in At the Sign of Triumph, a title I don't quite understand, although this may be the result of the brain pummeling one feels completing a book that runs well over 900 pages.
