Though Japan is a real country the author's gift of describing the sights, sounds, and even smells intrigued me. I want to go there now and sit in the character's favorite tea/coffee shop; go to their parent's homes and take in all the wonders of a traditional Japanese home. The various foods described and enjoyed by the characters had my mouth watering. It would be a fantastic trip!(less)
