I reached some very nice milestones in Happy with 300 and 500!

On Wednesday, I shared a Post from the Past about villains.

On Thursday, I posted a very brief but significant Count Your Blessings.

And yesterday, I posted a brief Friday Forecast and announced my vacation next week.

-No Adventures in Blogging today. I have some family stuff going on.

Friday Forecast : 06/13/14

Count Your Blessings 13: Vacation

Here’s something a little different today. I’m thankful to have the time and the means to take a vacation. I’m not going anywhere and I’m delighted. I am blessed to have some time to just sit back and relax, and possibly tend to my own selfish needs if that be the case.

Just because I’m going on vacation, it doesn’t mean I won’t have some lovely things to share from time to time, so please stick around.

Count Your Blessings 13

Posts from the Past: EC:GA Villains

These are previous posts that have been dusted off, updated, and freshly presented to an audience that’s never seen them. These limited posts originate from the companion blogs I’ve written for the first two installments of the Eternal Curse Series (40 Days and Nights of Eternal Curse & EC: Battleground a Survival Guide).

Just like heroes, villains can come in many different forms. Most of the time, it is the villain that seems to have the greatest strength and power over the victims, until a moment comes when they are put to the ultimate test. When evil is tested against the righteous or goodness, it always loses…at least that’s how it is in the really good stories.

Fear, that’s right fear, is the main villain of this story. The power that fear has over the human psyche is more than enough to make you want to sleep with a night light on. Fear makes you worry about small things, it makes you hear sounds in the middle of the night, and it keeps you from doing things that you need or want to do.

I think fear is so scary, because it’s the one thing that you can’t see or feel, that everyone can relate to. People can argue about faith, religion, science, and so much more, but fear cannot be denied. No human being is without fear.

The other villain that makes an appearance in this story is Marcos. Marcos is introduced in this first book, and right away, his infamy is unquestionable, and he only gets more gruesome as the series continues. We find that Marcos, much to the glory of his master Satan (who does not make an appearance in this story) is a mastermind of treachery and cunning. Marcos has a way of not just hurting his victims, but torturing them and anyone close to them, and he does it all just for the sheer enjoyment.

To Bletsian, existence is a curse. He’s sad to be what he perceives to be a monster. To him the Eternal Curse is outliving everyone he’ll ever know and not knowing what awaits him in any afterlife that may exist.

Sample Sunday 47

Here is approximately 100 – 150 words from a randomly selected original piece for your enjoyment. Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 5.6 (wip)

“I was hoping that you’d run a bunch of tests and just find out what is so hard for me to say. It’s hard because I know you won’t believe me.” Giovanni stood up, rushed towards Mira, and put his hands on her shoulders sending a shower of energy throughout her body. Mira’s mind began to spin and her head became heavy as a sense of euphoria overcame her, despite her trying to fight it. She struggled to hold up her head and keep her balance. Once again, Mira felt peaceful.

“You can see and you can feel what I am capable of, yet you are still skeptical. I beg you, please don’t give up, and please don’t leave,” Giovanni pleaded as he relaxed his grip on her shoulders. “Stay and find out the truth. Perform whatever tests you need to. I need to know the truth, and now, so do you!”
