Penny Burwell Ewing was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. Growing up in a southern coastal town gave her the best of small town living where the residents look out for one another. Her interest in writing began in the 1970s with the publication of The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. That book sparked a wildfire of reading passion, and the desire to one day write a historical romance of her own. The dream never died, and she is working on her fifth book. Although she's never written the historical romance, she's published one paranormal romance, Sweetwater Groves, and presently writing and publishing The Haunted Salon Series.
