Originally from New Mexico (and still suffering from Hatch green chile withdrawal), Jenn is the author of the award-winning DAUGHTERS OF LILITH paranormal thriller YA novels.

Outside of writing books, Jenn has penned projects for TV (including MTV’s TEEN WOLF), graphic novels (THE RED STAR, THE BOND OF SAINT MARCEL), and film (most recently adapting Erica O’Rourke’s novel DISSONANCE for the big screen).

Jenn currently lives in California with her husband and sons, and is realizing a life-long dream of growing actual real live avocados in her backyard. No guacamole yet--but she lives in hope.

I have good news... I'm almost done! Writing chapter 18 today, hope to finish the draft next week. From there it will take 1-2 months to proof and deal with all the publishing details, but I expect it will be available before the end of August. It's been a bit emotional for me, actually, as I wrap up Braedyn's saga. :) Can't wait to share the end of the story with you. (less)

Hello, Jacey! I am long overdue for a progress report, so thank you for the gentle nudge.

Book 4 (Guardian) is completely outlined, and Book 5 (Kin) is almost completely outlined--I just reread the outlines again yesterday and I cannot wait to get started on the drafts. What's holding me back is a new writing job that I am equally excited about--it came up very suddenly, though, and so it has side-tracked the Daughters series for a little while longer, much to my chagrin.

Let's see... what can I tell you about what's in store for Braedyn and her friends that won't give too much away? How about this:

- Braedyn is about to meet Terrance Clay, the "old school" head of the Guard who is charming, manipulative, and ruthless.

- Braedyn will learn some things about Murphy's past that he doesn't want her to know--because he fears it might permanently damage their relationship.

- Braedyn's loyalty to the Guard will be tested when she's forced to choose between obeying orders and protecting the ones she loves.

I know that's not much to go on, but I'd hate to give away too much. As I said, I am so eager to get back to work on this series! We're so close to the end now... I hope to get these books out one after the other as soon as possible, hopefully both in 2016. I wish I had a firmer release date, but it will depend on how things go with this current writing job.

Thank you so much for the question, and for reading, Jacey! Hope you have a wonderful week.

Best,

First Chapter of “Privilege”

CHAPTER 1

A crack like a gunshot ricocheted through the mine. The sound ripped through Haydin Rice’s nervous system like an electric charge, priming him with adrenaline. Even after five years in the mines, he had to fight back a primal urge to flee to the fresh air of the mountainside above. Haydin tamped down all extraneous thought, focused on the mine around him. He took a deep breat

“Without another word he slid toward me, slipped his arms around me, and drew me forward into a kiss. Our lips met and the jolt of electricity I felt in my stomach dwarfed every kiss I'd imagined us having. My willpower broke, swept away by the force of my feelings. For one moment, nothing was real beyond that kiss.”
Jennifer Quintenz, Thrall

“Lilith wants you dead.” I adjusted my grip on the sword, ready to swing. “Oh, that’s… flattering?” Gretchen’s back tensed in preparation.”
Jennifer Quintenz, Kin

“Lucas nodded a goodbye and walked away, leaving me feeling chilled - like someone had just turned off the sun.”
