Raised in a little oil town in Texas, Don Willerton’s favorite activity was climbing a tree in his back yard, imagining himself to be someone important. It has worked out well enough: he’s built his own house, helped in raising a wonderful family, programmed some of the world’s fastest computers, has witnessed the detonation of a nuclear device in the deserts of Nevada, backpacked and climbed in the mountains of Colorado, rafted rivers in four different states, including the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. Picture ​She didn’t like my book.
 
I submitted the manuscript for The Biggest Cowboy In The World to my publisher in May. I asked the editor to read it through before editing the words because I was not confident that I had a story people would enjoy. It would be wasted effort to make the words better if they weren’t the correct words to begin with.
