Raised in a little oil town in Texas, Don Willerton’s favorite activity was climbing a tree in his back yard, imagining himself to be someone important. It has worked out well enough: he’s built his own house, helped in raising a wonderful family, programmed some of the world’s fastest computers, has witnessed the detonation of a nuclear device in the deserts of Nevada, backpacked and climbed in the mountains of Colorado, rafted rivers in four different states, including the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. Throughout it all, he has been a curious man, fascinated with history and historical people, enchanted by amazing landscapes, and delighted to create mysteries that involve both.
