I am self-published and proud to be so, and have twenty books on Amazon. In Autumn 2018 I published Legacy, the final book in the post apocalyptic Project Renova series. The other books in the series are Tipping Point, Lindisfarne, UK2, and Patient Zero, a collection of short stories about some of the characters.

To go Free or not to go Free?

I decided to write this post after talking to several newer self-published authors about whether or not free promotions for a first book are worth doing, and what results they should expect.  Much of this will also apply to those who have written two connected books (one book and its sequel, or the first two books of a series), or anyone who has not tried a free promotion before.

Victoria, ditto - I can't get used to this comment/message thing, or perhaps you get a notification of a reply to a comment?

Ah, I see! Yes, I read fast, too, but these days so much of my non-writing time seems to be taken up with social networking...! I'm already on the strong glasses...

Victoria Limbert I never know where to answer my wall comments so I will answer both here and on my page just in case lol!!

Lol sorry to take up your newsfeed!! haha, I do alot of my writing quite late on at night or on my days off. I reserve reading for after my shifts at work. I am contantly reading! I cant help it, its my first love :) And I seem to be able to read stupidly fast, probably because I read so much. Sometimes I get through a book in a day if I am really enjoying it lol.

Still I think a book a week is perfectly fine, healthy in fact. Give me a few more years and I am going to need strong glasses and tons of headache pills daily :)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) Absolutely no problem :)

Collette Scott Hey there Terry,

It's great to connect here! Thanks so much for finding me :D

Lucinda Dear Terry,

Thank you so much once again,
Lucinda x
