Admittedly, I've succumbed to it before. It's an awful thing to feel that you just *can't* be creative right now. But my head is in a place where I'm going to pretend it's not a thing, and hoI look forward to when it won't be.(less)

I love creating and being the one who makes the rules, and I love being able to break them whenever I want. I love the possibility that I can make this (writing) my entire life, the thing that supports me and creates safety for my family. And it's been the only dream I've had that's made it through the low points and the high ones. It's stuck to me like glue, and I love it.(less)

I am alive! It was a close thing, let me tell you.

And it’s not over.

But the terrifying thing on Monday did not kill me. This is the good news. The bad news is that the terrifying thing pointed out that maybe I cannot make writing a full-time gig this year.

There’s a certain amount of relief in saying that, you know?

My free time, of which I have a small amount, will now primarily be taken up by t...

I loved this. I think the best way for me to consume Neil Gaiman books is to listen to him read them to me. Love his voice (writing style and actual), love his stories, love his way of stringing words together. I would recommend this one to everyone, ...more

"I like:
+ Good tips on sleep improvement
+ Not too long
+ Short, structured chapters

I didn't like:
- Leaves feeling for "subjectivity" as many of the references and especially all link are to websites, property of the author
- Felt like the last 3..." Read more of this review »

"Decided not to finish. Ridiculous pseudo-science + common sense mixed with an annoying level of infomercial-style self promotion. Bleh."
