I had came across Lydia Davis from an NPR interview and loved what she was doing with flash fiction. I have been reading Stuart Dybek for a while but rediscovered him when I began a serious study of Flash Fiction and Nonfiction. I then turned to Prose Poetry something I had not paid much attention to until I realized the commonalities of all these forms. I ran into David Shumate who exploded my head, Nin Alexander, and many more prose poets and the direction was set. Prosthetic Amalgams is an 'amalgam' of all these forms - Flash Fiction, Flash Nonfiction and prose poetry.
