Carol Dolson graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. She has combined her love of art, gardening, and all things English into her first children's book. She lives with her husband, Dick, in Athens, Georgia.
Carol Bland Dolson was awarded Finalist honors at the 49th annual Georgia Author of the Year Awards for her first children's book, "Hattie and the Higgledy-Piggledy Hedge (Jonquil Books, 2012).
Presented by the Georgia Writers Association, the Georgia Author of the Year Awards "recognize Georgia's authors of excellence" and have the distinction of being the oldest literary awards in the Southeastern United States.

What does it take to obtain a "Best Seller" in Children's Books, and how can you advance to becoming the author of a best seller?

My books received the Mom's Best Choice Award as well as I was awarded Finalist honors at the 49th annual Georgia Author of the Year Awards for her first children’s book, “Hattie and the Higgledy-Piggledy Hedge (Jonquil Books, 2012).
