Marthe Troly-Curtin



Marthe Troly-Curtin is best remembered as the author of the Phrynette novels, the first one of which, in an advertisement in Lippincott's Monthly Magazine, was described as "The Most Talked-About Book in London Today" in June 1911.

Troly-Curtin's novel Phrynette Married (1912) is the earliest certain source of the popular quote "Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."
