I may have inherited my interest in storytelling from my Daddy. He could spin a good tale.

Then came my degree in journalism and a lifelong career in many kinds of communication.

I served more than 14 years in various management positions (including president and chief paid staff) of Texas Safety Association, which was a not-for-profit statewide educational organization.

Before and after association management, I enjoyed freelance manuscript book editing.

Along the way, I also served for 9 years as media contractor for Region 6 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (5 states and the Indian Nations via the Bureau of Indian Affairs Indian Highway Safety Program). My duties included writing age-specific educational materials for Region

I would say to him, "John, I know how long and hard you worked to get Patricia back. I was with you every step of the way, but it's been a few years now. Looking back on how hard it was, what do you think?" He would smile at me and say, "Ann, did you forget everything I taught you while you were writing that zip line series? I'll tell you one more time. Love on life's zip line is the messiest and most complicated experience of all, but it is oh so worth it."(less)

My New Novel The Shipyard Man

My new novel The Shipyard Man does not easily fit
into a neat category. Mary’s journey of self-discovery is Women’s Fiction. The
love story of Mary and Bill is unmistakable Romance. It could be called
Christian fiction since their faith is a significant part of their love story.
Call it what you will and escape to 1905 to enjoy the journey of Mary and Bill.
Available now on Amazon.
