Welcome

JUDGE vs WATER is live, November 2019.

My name is Una Tiers and I write humorcides. My books are light reading with surreptitious under currants of the law from the perspective of an attorney.

Years back a judge claimed she signed a writ of body attachment on me. It's an arrest warrant. The story turned into my debut mystery, Judge vs Nuts.

Una Tiers is the pen name I created. Yes, it means something cryptic and if you guess it correctly, I will admit it to you alone.

I write as an outlet for stress and to show people that lawyers are people too. I also enjoy teaching to encourage people to make an estate plan.

Please take a chance and meet my characters. They aren't always well behaved, but I love them dearly.

looking for a book

About fifteen years ago, I read a mystery book that I would love to find again.
The central character was an art gallery owner. He was recently released from prison. His gallery was nearly in ruins and he works to clean it up. It may have been set in London before 1950.
He has dinner most nights at a diner. The cook helps him out. The cook, who was from Africa serves a chicken tagine stew. It was... Read more of this blog post »

This book was too long, that is what takes it down from a 5 star review. Do I need to know the man put the key in the ignition, turned it, and drove away? The plot had twists. However the last obstacle was boring.

Good plot with twists and red herrings. BUT the dialogue is sometimes like sandpaper and the descriptions far too lengthy. It took the MC 25-50 pages to walk into the Pentagon.

As a fan of the humorcides of Una Tiers, I gotta say this is the best yet.
Numero Una.
So, a judge drowned. JUDGE VS WATER, the title. That's funny.
