Crabs in a Bucket part infinite

So now that the stock market has been saved (and so have our oligarchs), the misinformation is in overdrive. Plandemic video is trying to spread some anti-vaxxer bullshit so that us peasants fight with each other. If that doesn't work, then they'll try something else. Pay one half of the working class to fight the other. Just remember that American Oligarchism. That being said, I'm of the mind that we're in for some crazy violence if people are allowed to loot the treasury while the working class suffers. We'll see, of course.

To that end, if you've enjoyed my writing, both fiction and non, I'd recommend that you go here to sign up for more. Let me know your thoughts.

As seen in Arkana

Solid poem, might riff off it. But that's my art piece. I'll add it to art prints soon enough (and on the link are other already published pieces you should check out). Otherwise, enjoy and share the link.

That being said, I think we can call this a trial run for Climate Change.

Want some more writing? Here it is. To include art. A possible giveaway about to happen.

A new piece. Also, don't drink bleach.

Here's a new piece out at Genre: Urban Arts. Check out their site, it's pretty awesome and I'm glad to be a part of it. If you want a print of that art, you can get it here. Some of the other art pieces are also available there, should you want em. I am still partial to the Napoli Street View piece. You can get a small one for a bookmark, should you want.

8k deaths and climbing

Well, here we go. Meanwhile the moron in chief is kinda pulling for some medicine to cure everything buy also just saying it might. I suppose he's going to stick to his carnival barker thing until the end. Of course, somehow the right is swallowing all of it hook line and sinker... truly something to behold.

And even if the GOP is enforcing democide on the blue states, sooner or later, the rural places will get hit the worst

Reading time

Well, well, well. Here we are. Quarantine time, for many of us, is a time to read. First world problems, I know, but it's something to enjoy. I have been reading and writing and creating  as much art as I can. Some books, like Black Leopard , have dragged along (maybe because I read 7killings first, and that was just a masterpiece), while Mr. Fox by Oyeyemi is an absolute dream to read. Partially an ode to Borges, partially just an ode to narratives nestled within narratives (and in that case, an ode to all storytellers everywhere), I found the book quite fascinating and I will be reading her other work.

I'm also reading Journal of the Plague Year (free over at gutenberg) from a few centuries back.

Hopefully will get to some other works.

I am surprised, when looking at 7killings, Black Leopard and even Mr. Fox, at how low those ratings are. Only 4 stars for 7?! What is wrong with people? Sure it's difficult, but then don't read it if you can't handle the dialect. Same with Mr. Fox. Probably the same people in charge of choosing the Nobel Prize for Lit. IOW no taste.

Other than that, I've been writing and creating some art. I know I mentioned Patreon, and I'll add everything there as I move from these other places, but I hope you can check out some of these pieces of mine.

What are you reading? Anything worthwhile?

5 k deaths

And our SFB POTUS, you know, the guy who's all about taking credit for anything good and dismissing anything bad as someone else's fault (and who is getting a free pass from the MSM for some reason), is at it again. He's trying to yell down governors into not criticizing him (or else) while also playing up all governors saying anything positive about him.
Waddle Lightly and Carry a Big Loudspeaker.
And so it goes. Meanwhile he's trying to act like he couldn't have known and he knew and did everything he could and anything that is less than 2.2 million people dead, is a win, but don't worry it will all be over and if it isn't you can be sure he'll yell at everyone else but himself. Of course, the idiots on the right will swallow it all. Let's see how it plays out in the red states now (and tbf, I think the right's acceptance of the virus and the damage it was doing was that as long as it was doing damage in the blue states it was fine.)
Meanwhile here in Seattle, the streets are quiet and the economic issues (restaurants closing and hospitals too) still hasn't made its way through.

Deaths Doubling Every 2-3 Days.

We're on track to double our deaths every 2-3 days. So even if NY gets a hold of their deaths, I'm guessing that other regions will not. I'm not sure how the "several regions with different starting points" will work out for us. Different levels of social distancing too. That being said, it seems like we started out slow but are now falling apart. Our leadership is SFB and our reaction on the small level will be that too.

Another part of why we're really going to get hit worse than anyone, is because of how some of our culture (nevermind the culture of death in the red states) does not know how to react to this. To look at frontline workers as some kind of heroes is beyond asinine when good policy would give them good PPE and not just ask them to sacrifice. Really, this martyr-culture has no place in an advanced society.

btw, not sure if people have already seen it, but r/medicine over at reddit has been some source for info and inside scoops from people in the med field.

2k deaths

2202 deaths to be exact. And, with the SFB POTUS and the incompetence of the GOP in charge, I would say that the estimations that we're on track to double our deaths everyday. So even once NY gets a hold of this, other states that are not reacting will make up for it. And, again, our system (health care and public health) is beyond broke. Our leader is Baghdad Bobbing his way to "win the war". If you believe such people, I don't know what to tell you. Even the 2T bill was mainly more giveaways to corporations. Expect this to get worse.

How's it going?

I trust everyone is staying safe out there, especially with the pandemic still raging and the fact that we're being led by a carnival barker with no brains. On a side note: Broiling eggs. Cast Iron Skillet, OFC.Fry up some onions and veggies, throw in the egss for a second and then into the oven. Tasty af. Never knew to throw my eggs into the oven, so this is a new phase in my life now.

1000 deaths

As the virus spreads, just remember that not only do many of our leaders not understand exponential growth and trying to lower the Ro, like our SFB POTUS, but that they are now actively calling for people to go back to work. Looks like we'll get a real life experiment here in the US. sigh.
